The SRT 4 was getting times almost as fast as the AWD category in the rally racing circuit. It broke records on several tracks and just because the interior is basic doesn't mean the car sucks. I don't want a over weight Cadillac. It is light and quick in the turns. AWD cars are easy to drive, no wheel spin. My 92 Mustang was just as hard to launch as my SRT 4. I like the ability to smoke the tires every once awhile, not in an AWD car. The Red Sled from DC racing did 9.3 @ 159 mph in FL.

Even though the new Cobalt SS turbo is quite the handler (Nurburgring time and all) They made an ACR version of the SRT-4 that would probably annihiliate the Cobalt. I recall seeing .93G out of one. Both would be decimated by a Focus RS.

Yeah from the dig an STI or evo would whoop the SRT-4 because of their AWD. But the evo is a good 350-400 pounds heavier than the SRT, and the STI is about 300 pounds more than the SRT. And you are basically calling the SRT-4 a slow ass car, then continuing to say you'd need 450HP in your Saab to beat the SRT-4 at 230WHP. Fail

i've seen a bunch of diff. "stage" kits offered for the srt-4 and they have all contained diff. size turbos and different parts so unless you say the brand and then a stage you still look like a idiot calling you car "Stage 3" or watever
"stage 3 srt-4" tells you the turbo it has, wastegate, manifold, pcm, injectors, probably has exhast. It actually tells you a lot if you look up what a stage 3 srt is. Or just look up the mopar staged upgrades in general.

not when he's only running 17lbs psi, he proably didn't do anything to the fuel system hence the low boost number's. i'm running 22 psi on the stock turbo but thats because i have the fuel mods to support higher boost.

@SpdDemon69 Skid pad for the 2004 SRT 4 is .85 g's the Honda S2000 was .87 g's. That is only .02 of a g difference against a small low sports car that is know for it's handling. So that is pretty good in 04. The O4 Mustang GT did .84 g's, .01 less. Most people are going off of rumors and have never really driven one. People say "it handles like a pickup truck" they have no clue. It handles better than the Z cars and RX7's I have had.

Actually the srt-4 is a neon. Every body panel on the car can be slapped onto any other regular neon of the same color and fit perfectly. The basis of any car is the body so, if you are talking like everybody else on the planet it is a neon. Regardless of suspension, drivetrain and interior. Put money into any neon and it will be an srt-4 with a body kit, interior, and powertrain. It is a neon, and by the way I own one. Great NEON it is, peak 25 hold 21 all day with $500 spent.

I understand where you are coming from. I have just com to accept that it is a neon to everyone on the outside looking in. To owners of SRT's we know that it is no more a neon than an evo is a lancer. But Body styling is the exact same if the body kit is stripped. I was just saying looks wise. 350z is not gay. The only thing that the 350z has on the srt4 is RWD...thats it, the interior is just as cheap(if not worse) than the neon. The 350zs motor doesn't have anywhere near the potential of the srt4s btw.

Umm...from what I have seen thats not the case lol. I have heard complaints from the Zs with the Hazard light button down on the arm rest saying that their elbows always turn them on. Then they put the button up in the front and put a door that opens up where the hazards were. Now their elbow bumps into the latch and it opens. Everything is all just plastic and not very stylish.
I didn't say the Zs motor didn't handle boost. I'm just saying that the srt motor handles it better.

Second, what year Z are you discussing with potential. 07-08 can hold around 500 on stock internals. Ive read that srt4s can hold about that but not for long.
As for as expenses for mods, srt4>350z. You guys already have a turbo stock so you dont have to completely change your setup for more boost.

The SRT 4 was getting times almost as fast as the AWD category in the rally racing circuit. It broke records on several tracks and just because the interior is basic doesn't mean the car sucks. I don't want a over weight Cadillac. It is light and quick in the turns. AWD cars are easy to drive, no wheel spin. My 92 Mustang was just as hard to launch as my SRT 4. I like the ability to smoke the tires every once awhile, not in an AWD car. The Red Sled from DC racing did 9.3 @ 159 mph in FL.

Even though the new Cobalt SS turbo is quite the handler (Nurburgring time and all) They made an ACR version of the SRT-4 that would probably annihiliate the Cobalt. I recall seeing .93G out of one. Both would be decimated by a Focus RS.

Yeah from the dig an STI or evo would whoop the SRT-4 because of their AWD. But the evo is a good 350-400 pounds heavier than the SRT, and the STI is about 300 pounds more than the SRT. @SpdDemon69 Skid pad for the 2004 SRT 4 is .85 g's the Honda S2000 was .87 g's. That is only .02 of a g difference against a small low sports car that is know for it's handling. So that is pretty good in 04. The O4 Mustang GT did .84 g's, .01 less. Most people are going off of rumors and have never really driven one. People say "it handles like a pickup truck" they have no clue. It handles better than the Z cars and RX7's I have had.

the srt-4 has normal handling, its nothing to smile at. skid pad isn't the only thing to look at, slalom is another thing. this car is better for going straight, not turning.

Actually the srt-4 is a neon. Every body panel on the car can be slapped onto any other regular neon of the same color and fit perfectly. The basis of any car is the body so, if you are talking like everybody else on the planet it is a neon. Regardless of suspension, drivetrain and interior. Put money into any neon and it will be an srt-4 with a body kit, interior, and powertrain. It is a neon, and by the way I own one. Great NEON it is, peak 25 hold 21 all day with $500 spent.

I understand where you are coming from. I have just com to accept that it is a neon to everyone on the outside looking in. To owners of SRT's we know that it is no more a neon than an evo is a lancer. But Body styling is the exact same if the body kit is stripped. I was just saying looks wise. Who knows anymore, I love my SRT and I am ok with it being a NEON. I will leave the arguing to everyone else.

350z is not gay. The only thing that the 350z has on the srt4 is RWD...thats it, the interior is just as cheap(if not worse) than the neon. The 350zs motor doesn't have anywhere near the potential of the srt4s btw.

Umm...from what I have seen thats not the case lol. I have heard complaints from the Zs with the Hazard light button down on the arm rest saying that their elbows always turn them on. Then they put the button up in the front and put a door that opens up where the hazards were. Now their elbow bumps into the latch and it opens. Everything is all just plastic and not very stylish.
I didn't say the Zs motor didn't handle boost. I'm just saying that the srt motor handles it better.

First of all 350Z interior > srt4 interior IMO.
Second, what year Z are you discussing with potential. 07-08 can hold around 500 on stock internals. Ive read that srt4s can hold about that but not for long.
As for as expenses for mods, srt4>350z. You guys already have a turbo stock so you dont have to completely change your setup for more boost.

The only thing is that you have to pay 10k extra for it...
In the end, I have 10k extra to make my car faster than your Z...
