It would be cool if they added more specific mob spawning control to vanilla Minecraft. That way you could play with zombies and skeletons and the like without worrying about creepers, or keep chickens from spawning if you've got some weird grudge against them.

@Peersy101 or have 2 types of slimes. 1 for each biome. a dirty brown kind of mucky one for the swamp and the classic green one for the jungle. have the swamp slime kind of blend in with the water and dirt while the jungle slime can stick to trees and jump off them to attack you.

I think they should add alot more creatures to minecraft, not evil mobs, i mean like animals. maybe a sahara habitat with animals like elephants rhinos hippos crocs etc. also would be nice if they would make it A TON easier to download mods. for example a section in the title screen that has a list of compatible mods to just select, download, and play

Monkeys mob in the jungle and they can hang underneath blocks if the block is either leaves, wood, or vines. And maybe a herding behavior if the monkeys are added and they wouuld be like natural enemies to the of the ocelot, who would also have herding behavior.
