My cousins went to high school with the guys from TMLE so they took me to one of their last shows at the soccerkick in Rockville. While the guys were touring for their second album a couple years later they played CBGB's. I missed their set but I got to hang out with them on St. Marks for a few good hours that night. I bought myself a new Nirvana tshirt and put it on and said, "Now I have to look grunge" and wanted to start tearing up my pants but spoonboy was like, "No dude, come as you are."
