Eddie Gray lived just around the corner from me, in Shoreham-by-Sea, for 38 years. His wife Pattie was a niece of the turn of the last century music hall star, Marie Loftus. She founded a show business colony on Shoreham Beach where, in the 1910's/20's, virtually every music hall star of the time had a bungalow.
@powerspade Yes I know that, the crazy gang were in the New Theatre in cardiff, I went with my uncle John. He used to run a guest house in London before the war and he knew all the old stars, After we watched the show he took me back stage and I met all the members of the crazy gang I have never forgot the it was a magic moment
Norman Evans was brilliant. Les Dawson drew much inspiration from him. Super compilation, all the other stuff is wonderful too. Not to mention all the other postings in this series.
God bless Norman Evans and Les Dawson who was very much inspired by him.
