The crab is from the Mickey Mouse short Hawaiian Holiday. It was hidding in a shell, until Pluto messes with it, so the crab decides to pinch Pluto's butt, and honk his nose

You can only hit him twice with fire from the cauldron at the beginning of the fight. Afterwords, he'll ignore the fire. Still, it's kinda funny to see him covered in soot.

I think the crab was from The Beach Party cartoon. Either that or it looks the crab from Donkey Kong for the Gameboy.

The barrel protects Donald from snow. It does not, apparently, protect against full force yeti butt impacts.

@JessePrower Since you keep bringing it up, the only difference easy mode makes (that I can see) is you start with 5 HP instead of 3.
