  • They sound so adorable.

    And look so adorable.

GODDAMN IT, WHY ARE THEY SO DAMN ADORABLE?

  • Amo a mi coqui they are awesome Puerto Rico all the way baby

  • WOW! esto es un video pero senti como si fuera real (en vivo) me gusto mucho!

  • u cruel 12 people hate frogs!

  • If you play this backwards, what are they really saying? ;-)

  • they have them here on the big island hawaii

  • @seyaat420 Yeah only in Puerto Rico and Hawaii. Those are the only place the Coquí can live, if they get out of its habitat dies.

  • its like an organic alarm clock ^^

  • first time seein this in action haha this is one sucka u dont wan next to ur window, its so loud gotta go outside grab em and toss those foos

    love em

  • @SpitSomeThinGood lmao XD i'd actually enjoy it, I just hate the giant flying cockroaches there and the salamanders on your outside walls. but not the coquis

  • @BoyChibi u would? Iunno how u could enjoy that its just way too loud up close I cant even listen to anything comin out my speakers, they manage to ruin a movie/game cutscene haha

so far I had two of them jump and land on my face while tryin to get them out of tha window.. I have yet to see a flyin roach, I seen many of those in FL tho ahah but tha biggest roach I ever seen was here on tha island, I think it died of old age cuz it was huge, I even took a pic

  • One thing I loved best about visiting Puerto Rico were these little guys constant background sound haha. Beats annoying crickets by 1000

  • @chizoioioi

well we puertoricans r extremely proud of them and its the only thing that makes us go to sleep its he most beatiful sound on earth!!!!! dont say its annoying!!!!

  • @jeneZelda uh.. i didn't...

  • They're so cute! I'd love to have one as a pet :D

  • the Coqui is naturally native to Puerto Rico...not Hawaii...so blame the humans who put them there not the frogs themselves!

  • There are so many frogs on Hawaii Island (Big Island)from the upland farms to the beach side hotels that you can hear them through closed double paned glass windows and doors and even over an airconditioner. So all you dumb shits that have never been to Hawaii & Puerto Rico to hear the difference...keep your mouths shut until you do your research.

    Google coqui in Hawaii

  • now now... fuck the people that have never been to Hawaii and heard the deafening sound of thousands of coqui in a square acre but have the cojones to say fuck the Hawaiians for trying to kill them. Coqui have no natural predators in Hawaii to keep their population size in check so the frogs are breeding to their heart's delight. Hawaii has no snakes or large lizards to eat the frogs and the majority of the birds are too small or insectivores to eat the frogs.

  • かわいい・・・

  • 2 thumbs up

  • My boyfriend loves these frogs.

  • fucck hawaiins!

  • Ahhhhh, the sound of Puerto Rico... lol <3

  • I dont find it why Hawaiians hate this little creature which chirps. the coqui I suppose likes Hawaii if it can produce and such in a fast pace. I could fall asleep to their singing.

  • @mechaart NOT REALLY THE HAWAIANS IS MOSTLY THE AMERICANS LIVING IN THE ISLANDS ARE THE ONES THEY HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE COQUI. BUT THE COQUI IS THERE TO STAY BECAUSE IN ORDER TO GET RID OF THE COQUI THEY HAVE TO GET RID OF HAWAI BIRDS AND OTHER ANIMALS THAT THEY FEED FROM COQUI FROGS.MR.SYD SINGER HAS BEEN DOING GREAT WORK

  • i heard these frogs r hard to find lmaooooooo

  • cute voice

  • everyone vote for el yunque puerto rico to be one of the new 7 wonders of the world. if you love puerto rico or if you are puerto rican you would vote. we deserve this. vote at new7wonders . com !!!!

  • so adorable

  • @SniperExpert1234 No, they can sing out of Puerto Rico hahah. The coqui in Hawaii are introduced, not native nor endemic. Again, all coqui are not originated in PR.

  • All I hear is "Boop beep. Boop beep." Are we sure these aren't computers? XD

  • And fuck Hawaii keep your fucking volcanoes, take your pineapples and stick them up your ass. Unlike you motherfuckers the white Americans don't come over to PR and steal our land then sell it at expensive prices so the natives can't even buy them. Most hawaian natives live in slums cause the rich white man drove them out.

  • Haaaa!! Coqui's are like Boricuas no matter how much they hate us they will never get rid of us. They tried to kill them off in Hawaii but they kept multiplying. My Coqui like my Boricuas will live forever bitches!!! Hahahaha!!!

  • @SniperExpert1234 Not only in Puerto Rico, there are a lot of coqui's around some Caribbean islands. However, coqui's like Eleuterodactylus portorricensis are endemic to the island (this means it cannot be found anywhere else).

  • This sound is awesome! My nickname is Toad so I am becoming more interested about them and of course frogs too :)

  • Cool little guy. Coqui is part of the PR culture.

  • @Alxscode and not part of Hawaiian culture so come get them and take them back home with you.

  • I refuse to go back to Hawaii until they STOP MAKING WAR on this precious frog.

  • I could never find those little frogs no matter how hard I tried. I like the noise they make, it sounds so strange and foreign.

  • Awwww, such a beautiful coquííííííí.

  • there's nothing better than sleeping to the sound of coqui frogs, it's the greatest. And they're so cute!

  • Im in puerto rico !!!

  • Die little Bugah

  • Coquis had been living in the island of Puerto Rico for hundreds of years, the tainos came and got used to them, the spainiards and other foreigners the same, if you are raised listening to the their singing, you dont even notice. In two or three generations maybe the people in Hawaii wont even notice them.

  • awwwwwwwww***!!! i LOVE thiiis froggy!!! ;3 <3

  • @27Juicygirl not if you have to listen to them till 3 oclock in the morning on a school day :( it gets me pissed of to da max go back to puerto rico coqui frogs damnit and leave hawaii alone!!!! lol jkjk i guess they are used to in rico but idk

  • Fucking annoying

  • @SuperMantilla stfu fucking dumb ass

  • I first heard the sound of coqui a few years ago when my family visited Puerto Rico. The sound they make is absolutely beautiful. Last year, I stayed a couple of nights at the Disneyland Hotel and heard coqui outside there, near the pool area. I guess someone brought some over from Puerto Rico, because I understand that Island is the only place they are indigenous to.

  • @Briarwood202 Yes...and they should't take them out of the island because they die bc of the cold...and even tho I miss the sound of it since now I'm living in USA I just go in here (YouTube) to hear them lol... They took them to Hawaii once and they killed them all after bc they were annoyed by the sound...They should't take them there in the first place.!

  • I Love Sleeping To The Beutiful Noise They Make.

  • @RiveraRamos90 how u do that?? wow thats amazing i need that info lol

  • solo los habia escuchado por la cancion de menudo jaja cantan hermosooooo

  • that is so funny

  • @ScreamingSilence2010 Haha so are you saying that a golden retriever is not a dog, its a golden retriever?

  • Listening to this little fellow makes me miss Puerto Rico so much :(

  • @ScreamingSilence2010 it belongs to the frog family native from Puerto Rico... it is call coqui because of their song Coqui Coqui Coqui... so the puertoricans nameed it coqui... it is beautiful and unique...love the sound of it.. when i go to PR and hear this sound it feels very peacefull... Love it!!!

  • @ScreamingSilence2010 Coqui is a species of small tree frog that belong to Eleutherodactylus Genus family. So that means they are frogs.

  • Es primera vez que uno ... cantando.. siempre los he escuchado y llevo 5a en PR.

    gracias!

  • Love the Coqui of my home land BUT.... if you look him up in Wikipedia.... it's a type of frog....

  • AMO EL COQUI!!! ESTUPIDOS HAWAIANOS POR MATAR A NUESTRO COQUI!!!

  • =) !!!!!!

  • I miss hearing this at night

  • Ah... The legendary sound!!! It gives me goosebumps!!!!

  • hawaiin people are bastards trying to kill these wonderful frog

  • @legendarysparda854

they're one of the world's worst invasive species. up there with cane toads as far as amphibians go. you're like the people in california who chain themselves to eucalyptus groves, which have been heavily linked to some of the worst wildfires there

  • @legendarysparda854

They are killing everything else! invasive species > Native species

  • @legendarysparda854 808 all day .. they annoy the shit out of us what if i dump them on your backyard and listen to them all night hundreds of them till 3 oclock am...wow common sence it kills our native species ect so if you have a problem with us making our aina ( island) clean and to bring back the ulu and the other birds who are dieing out plese leave alone. thanks just trying to make a point not bieng an ass to anyone

  • End is near for coqui control efforts

In April the County of Hawaii will auction off 26 chemical spray rigs that originally cost up to $10,000 each.

That auction will mark the end of the county's efforts to control coqui frogs

  • ahhhh, the coqui frog, natures pokemon

  • THE COQUI!

  • MY DAD AND I GOT TO SEE ONE IN PUERTO RIXO THEY R TE SMALLEST CUTEST LITTLE THINGS.

  • @MrCarmeloJames ikr!! XD adorable :3

  • beautiful, hermoso.

  • Awww so cute !! I want one 

  • OMG how I miss those little guys. I found out that my aunt's husband sprays them with roach killer because he doesn't want them to dirty his walls. So sad. I wish I could bring a ton over here but I know they will die. :-(

  • In case you did not know, the coqui singing is the male, the female does not sing

  • Comment removed

  • me encanta!!

  • K Belllllaaaa .,

  • the indians shouuld have bioled alive the intruders into their lands, and gassed them weren't they pests also?. how soon people forget what they are. viva el coqui.

  • everything coming out of latin america is hated by these people. there are many harmful intruduced species of insects. animals. and fish. but there is not on them a fine of $200.000.00 and three yrs in jail for, keeping, selling. or raising ;coquies; in hi.

  • So some of you cant just enjoy the video, but opt to instead speak about negative aspects regarding this particular species of frog? Get over yourselves, and leave the rest of us to merely enjoy the fucking video....freak.

  • snds like pyrrho314 ~ lol

  • El canto mas bello del mundo!

  • fukk you putos who be hatin on the coqui. . the coqui is Gangsta xP

  • Coqui - Omarion Ft. Wyclef & Julio Voltio

  • yah i was recently in hilo, and i can see why people would go crazy listening to it everynight, everyday, for what seems will be forever. haha, personally though, i like the sound even if its multiplied by a gagillion, cuz it makes me think of pokemon and how they can only say their name. get it??? lol

  • you should read the TRUE reason why the Coqui frogs are a problem in Hawaii instead of being IGNORANT and talking about the way they sound....

    phschool.

    com/science/science_news/articles/hawaiis_hated_frogs.html

  • @2zao There is no true reason except for all the hysteria spread by the department of agriculture. No studies have been able to find any detrimental ecological effect from the coqui in Hawaii. It's all just concern of what COULD or MIGHT happen, but in reality the coqui is not reducing the populations of any native species in Hawaii.

  • @2zao so u can see coqui frog es nuestro animal perfecto del mundo, nobody cares about friggin hawaii, everybody knows hawaii is just being a cry baby, so dont u dare dis the coqui. your the ignorant because i was born in puerto rico and just listened to that beautiful sound

  • @zombiesatemelol dont diss us...i dont diss you they dont realy effect us anymore some of my friends kill them for fun.. you guys are used to them i can respect that. i kinda got used to them but stilll just hate it when people diss us thanks

  • @2zao

  • Yes, the coqui is from Puerto Rico. It was introduced into Hawaii ilegally. They're trying to get rid of this beautiful, harmless animal, for they don't like the sound. It's sound is so peaceful and relaxing i don't know how anyone can hate it.

  • Invasive species are not harmless, especially in fragile island ecosystems.

  • @tikoag

I agree. When I first heard it on the phone, I liked it.

it sounds pretty. it reminds me of this song of Aliyah.

  • @tikoag they used to annyony me to da max but they gone now so trouble gone ya they kept me up till like 3 oclock on a school day too ughhh welll it took away my sleep i hated tose buggas but now the gone i cant hate

  • Great Video. Hard to find those little guys lol.

  • Nice video. My neighbor gave me a coqui frog statue today. telling me that they don't turn green like some people try to sell off as coqui frogs. I don't the sounds is so bad. Its nature.

  • It's an invasive species, there isn't any natural predators in hawaii to kill the little bastards and they have multiplied out of control in some areas... Multiply that chirp noise by a magnitude of a few thousand and it sounds like car alarms going off all night...

  • @tdmracer You might as well get used to it and learn to accept them, cause they can't be eradicated from the big island, and control doesn't work either.

  • @tdmracer There is another bastards who tried to kill species in PR. For example the orange agent sprayed in the Yunque Rain Forest, ect. Don't blame the coqui for the human and global explotation.

  • @tdmracer amen dude

  • Idk how hawaiins find this awesome and soothing sound as annoying. To me its like a lulluby! and when the fireflies enter the house and that music, music and a show. It is true when they say "best things in life are free" :)

  • its not hawain, its puerto rican

  • For real? Me a puerto rican, did not knew about it. Coqui's were introduced to hawaii mistakengly , and they are desperately trying to get rid of it, for they find its singing annoying , or so the newspaper said.

  • its puerto rican

  • Comment removed

  • this would annoy most people but once you lived here your used to it lol

  • Que viva siempre el coqui

  • esta bacano esta ranita

  • @gazu5050 bacano s bno o s malo?

  • q criatura mas tierna y adorable nos ha dado Dios! n vrdd n PR somos muy afortunados d tenerlos!! =3

  • hermoso canto

  • beautiful music that this lil creaters do... sadly they are a pest in hawaii n throwing off their eco system.. thus being killed to protect the islands:(

  • @cvgf08 i dont get the whole "protecting they island"! all they do is sing 4 crap's sake! not poison people!

  • i know there's no need to get mad i dont make the laws in hawaii i just heard of them... one thing is for sure is if a hawaiian were to take a sake or some native animal to puerto rico n that animal throw off the eco system boricuas would do the same to protect their island as well.. which is to kill that pest... right?

  • @cvgf08 true but i wouldnt if its cute...say the poison dart frog if some1 brought those here i think they r cute but can also b pretty dangerous!! i wouldnt want those things inside my house and coquis r always inside my house i found 1 in my bedroom the other day :D so cute :3 how they look at u O_O like 'dont kill plz'

  • i agree they are pretty cute n its sad that they are being killed.. but not all hawaiians kill the coqui's.. i saw this documentry in kpbs n they talked about how they came to hawaii and how some people love them there n how some dont... may be you should look 4 that video.. so idk whats the name of the video:(

  • @cvgf08 Yeah, except the thing is, the coqui isn't throwing off the ecosystem in Hawaii. There is no evidence of that happening.

  • @EricFunnyFlix umm this video shot in bvi

  • a straner thing is that if something unusual appears some stop singing but a further faint *coqui* is heard thats what the taino indian natives used to aid in hunting, or enemy evasion, but sometimes backfire too. but they are still awesome lil' fellas XD
