@ryder2341 - Yeah man, it took a lot of research and a couple different set ups for me to get the sound I wanted. Now that I have it, I love it. I have had the car 5 years, and I am still not tired of it. Make sure you get an off road H pipe....NOT the X pipe.

@Linktheworld I got lucky with my setup lol, I was just putting one what I was told would be the best performance wise, but I have, not to sound like a fathead or nothing, the best sounding GT with an xpipe around where I live, their's another 04 gt owner here that asked me what I had done to it, and he's got it on his now lol. I have a question for you, did you notice a difference with electric water pump or was it one of the mods that you bolted on when you did gears? I was thinking about getting one and i would like your opinion.

@mustangmatt302 Of course the mods I got when I added the bolt ons was the best trip to the shop ever. I didnt notice the electric water pump, also it ended up going bad and my car started to overheat. So I went back to the stock water pump. I wouldnt get it if I were you.

I'd like to see how hard it kicks at 70, 75, 80, then 85, I would imagine after that u hit the flatline of the 373 gears. I really need to know cause I'm buying me an older gt cause I had to sell my 08 gt cause I was laid off. Dam I miss that car I just install 410s 7 months before I was laid off. 13.0 in the 1/4 was my best time. Had just enough gas had my spare out and took passenger seat out. With everything in I ran 13.3.full tank 13.5

@JBWHITEGT Yes Auto. I would say 2200 RPMs at 70. Yes kicks at 70, no lag. Will post a video of this when I get a chance if you want.

@RicerEater1978 I dont know, I got a bunch of bolt ons and my aluminum driveshaft when I got my gears. Of course after that trip to the performance shop it was a lot faster, but not sure how JUST the gears would help.

@RicerEater1978 my 2002 gt auto i use to have went from 14.47 stock to 13.8 with going from the stock 3.27 to a 4.10. and h-pipe and flows. i would recommend a 4.10 on the 99 to 04 auto gt.a custom 3200 stall took me to 13.4.drag radials of course and unhook the front swaybar links. you will love the weight transfer with the converter

@RicerEater1978 700r4 and 3.73 is a great combo. had a 94 z28 with 4l60e which is a beefed 700r4 same gear ratios and it worked great.you will love it

@csxjim so ive heard. not only that, but it would be better on gas mileage as well since the 4th gear is a .7:1 overdrive. twice the torque off the line and slightly better mileage :)

@RicerEater1978 yes there is a MAJOR difference. what kind of mustang do you have...2.73s didn't come in mustangs after 95 when the 4.6 came in they had 3.27s standard either way it would help tremendously...3.73 is the best all around gear for a 5.0 car unless it's set up to rev high then i'd go with 4.10s or more...if you have a 4v cobra get AT LEAST 4.10s if not 4.30s they like to rev but I'm assuming you don't have one cuz they have 3.27s stock...go for the 3.73 if you have a 5.0

@RicerEater1978 don't forget to get the neccesary equipment to calibrate your speedo...it will throw it way off...the faster you go the more off it is...if you're doin 25 it'll say 40 if you're doin 55 it'll say 80 if you're doin 70 it'll say like 103 or so...cuz i personally went from 2.73 to 3.73 in my 94 gt...trust me it's actually probably the best bang for the buck for a mustang cuz the stock gears are very laggy unless you like haulin down the interstate at 140 to 150 get 3.73s

@midnight347 oh i know, ive got access to all of the stuff to calibrate. i was thinking 3.73 as well. like i said, ive got 2.73 right now. the motors got enough power to get it from 0-60 in 6 seconds, but it feels so slow compared to a 30-60 haul from first. gotta upgrade

@mustanggt1996rules - Just the gears alone will help, if it is just one car lenth it will be close. Look in to getting an aluminum driveshaft. Search around the net for the one your car needs. I am not sure what else you have, but with just a couple of things you will be beating him in no time. Oh and yes I beat s2000's by 2 car lenths going from 0-70, and pulling away...

@mustanggt1996rules hey man i have a standard 2000 mustang gt. if you want to beat your brother. do gears first. then buy some nitto 555 street radials next pulleys and a tune. with the gears and the tires alone if you practice your launches and get them down you should be able to take your brother. the gears and tires make a huge differnce off the start

@sappc09 - Nah. I do a lot of highway driving and my MPG is bad enough. I think I get like 12 MPG. I am going back to get it re-tunes to see if I can help that at all without hurting the performance a lot.

It is hard to say, I got a bunch of things done at the sametime. Like the 3.73 gears, aluminum driveshaft, lighter/slotted breaks, coil on plug kit, biger t/b and plenum, and had it tuned with the chip. So of course it was way faster after, but no clue how much JUST the chip would help.
