1) NOWHERE in the entire bible is this greeting found.

2) The greek meaning implies the person was, is now and forever will be filled with grace.

IMPORTANT: Note how the archangel Gabriel has spoken to Mary, i.e. in the past tense: "been graced"/"been favoured". What was this grace/favour Mary received before? Church fathers?

We can celebrate Christ's sacrifice without the aid of trinkets by doing so in our hearts.

@willthacheerleader18 I believe you when you say you dont worship the crucifix. However you need to understand that there are people who do and not just Catholics. There are people from all denominations who put more faith into there doctrine then they do God and his Word.

@robertkurt2 that is true, and I pray for them that they will not stray from the faith. Becoming obsessed or dedicated to things that are not what God wants happens in every denomination. I actually do a rosary prayer every day for those who misunderstand Christ and the meaning of the cross.

@robertkurt2 The Cross/Crucifix is also important because sin started at a tree(when Adam & Eve took the fruit) and was conquered at a tree(the cross).

@willthacheerleader18 I will agree halfway with you on that. The Cross/Crucifix may have some meaning to some people. However it is important not to get caught up in it otherwise it becomes idol worship. People forget Who Jesus Christ is today, A victorious King and God, not some dead guy on a cross.

But I agree with you there, many people do forget who Our Beloved Christ is.

However, what have you really learned about being a Christian if you come to a post of the Praying of the Rosary to draw parallels between Catholics and Satan?

As far a my posting about the problems of Catholicism goes I get my information from a really good book, it's called the Bible

@robertkurt2 I don't know why you think we worship Mary, because we don't. We don't pray to her, either. Mary is the Mother of our Messiah... we pray WITH her that Jesus will bless us. Notice at the end of the "Hail Mary" prayer, it says, "Holy Mary, mother of God, PRAY FOR US sinners now and at the hour of our death." We do NOT worship Mary.

The definition of the word "hail" as used in this context means to, greet or acclaim enthusiastically, in other words with highest honor, worship. Secondly the only being that can claim to be full of grace is God.

Finally, why do you, I or any other believer need Mary anyway? Why can't our prayers alone to Jesus stand on their own merit?

Mary is the Mother of Jesus(God the Son) and nobody puts her above Jesus. This is what the Aposles, Orthodox and Catholics teach a.k.a. Original Christian s.The problem is Protestants like beingther keep trying to justify thier failure to stay with the Original Orthodox creed by making false accusations about others, .. I'm pretty sure our Lord wouldn't appreciate you Protestants calling His mother "just a vessel" as if She were to be used for 9 months then thrown away.

At least us original Christians don't blurt out jibberish, and call it speaking in tounges. Whats more important than how or where you pray, is how you conduct yourself the other 6 days of the week. The fact is Mary(Theotokos) is Jesus's mother. Jesus is God in the flesh, and anyone who denies this is an antichrist.

why are you even here then to put comments if you don't like this stuff? Learn to spell and use better grammar too. It will increase your intelligence. Mary is not spelled marry. God always spelled with a capital letter. Jesus Christ is always used with capital letters as well. Create is not spelled creat, Vessel is not spelled vesal. Friend is not spelled fraind. Get some education and you might come to realize eventually that you are mistaken about associating Our Lady with the devil.
