I'm a Christian, but I love metal as well. I have no problem with this song because that is their personal view on things. I just do not understand all of this hate on Christianity. There are many Christians in metal (e.g. Tom Araya from Slayer, Peter Steele from Type O Negative, etc.) and there are many of them that listen to it. I listen to many "blasphemous" metal bands especially those from the Norwegian Black Metal Scene. I think that people should just tolerate others no matter what.

blaming crimes on religion is like blaming murder on guns. the common denominator is us. people are always looking for reasons to do the things they want to do anyways. when the colonists of early america spread out west, they called it "god's providence". but they would have done it even if they didnt believe in God. without guns, people still kill. without religion, there would still be crimes. it is our nature. outro of this song is amazing.

I'm a Christian, but I love metal as well. I have no problem with this song because that is their personal view on things. I just do not understand all of this hate on Christianity. There are many Christians in metal (e.g. Tom Araya from Slayer, Peter Steele from Type O Negative, etc.) and there are many of them that listen to it. I listen to many "blasphemous" metal bands especially those from the Norwegian Black Metal Scene. I think that people should just tolerate others no matter what.

@Tricto380 Christians have no problem with gays. The only ones that do are part of the Westboro Baptist Church, which has been condemned by all the other Christian denominations. You are right in the fact that they do not approve of pre-martial sex. We also have no problem with people of other faiths. The only ones that do are right-wing conservative Christians. The number of the beast represents Nero in the book of Revelations which is Christian scripture. Therefore, 666 is Christian.

Not trying to be a prick, this is just my personal experience, i know there are extremely tolerant Christians out there but they seem to be a very small minority.

However, the real reason why I have that there is: Iron Maiden. Perhaps you should go travel to other countries where there are Christians. Not everyone has the same intolerant attitude. Go to the Philippines. The gay people there are rich and the straight people there are poor. Most people there are Catholic.
