man, watched both of these great fighters do business many times here in West Michigan. Great memories of watching Mac pound guys when playing with the Muskegon Fury...even won a Colonial Cup with them. Watching Rechlicz with the K-Wings for a little bit. both can go...love that they made the NHL.

I live in NY so I see all the Islander games so I've seen almost all Rechlicz's fights. He's got good balance. Lots of times he gets tagged early in fights and almost goes down, but he always seems to keep his feet & then comes back. Then since he's a lefty he surprises a lot of guys. This fight was pretty typical.

Preseason is one of the few times the coach loosens the ropes on fighting. So if your going to be a teams enforcer, you better drop the gloves in preseason to show what you can do. Not to mention a majority of the Saskatoon fans there wanted to see MacIntyre fight.

Mac won, but a good scrap none the less. Rechlicz is the future of fighting despite what some of you say..last year he had close to 15 fights in a span of like 20 games...and he won around 10 of them...the Islanders would be dumb to send him down to Bridgeport.
