i played junor Elite hockey in Australia and had to deal with the whole attitude of "dont hit her shes a girl" to the point in which people would let girls get break aways on our goalies...in my own opinion when a player is on the ice they are a player, not a guy, not a girl, not a german, they are just a player and have the right to be bumped pushed and hit in every legal way that the game allows.
