  • Jay is a great athelete and ambassador to his sport. Focuses on the results and not getting into a pissing contest about how much weight he can push. There's fellas movin more but I don't see them with a Sandow trophy. Keep it up Jay! Stay swole!!!

  • I love the fact how everyone talks about the light weight jay does. Go to the gym when u get off the computer and do 3-4 dif chest exercises w anywhere from 4-5 sets always w a drop set at the end and then go get on bench press throw 315 on and try to push out 7-8 reps only using ur chest!! Try to keep ur tris out of the lift the whole time! Film it let's us watch and laugh. PLEASE!! Then do flys and dumbell pullovers! Good lift jay! Get 4 man!!

  • I respect Jay's competitive success, but these training videos are plain boring and uninspirational. What do we see? Very, very average weights and training only in comfort zone. I loved how old bodybuilders (era from Arnold until Coleman) trained very hardcore comparing to present standards. Training that way, they motivated us, natural bodybuilders. With Jay's way of training, I can give not so easy conclusion that his size and condition is mostly result of steroids and hormones.

  • @BodyHeaven It's not about "hardcore" workouts my friend, Jay hasn't started his full Olympia regiment yet. Jay has been nice enough to let us into his prep for competition. And as for the vids being boring.... ITS A WORKOUT VIDEO! Working out isn't supposed to be exciting, high impact for the viewer. You are supposed to pay attention to the technique, HOW he does things. This generation is spoiled by TaeBo and the biggest loser.......... You want excitement? workout YOURSELF!

  • @AphroditesCrush I am working bodybuilding (at amateur level, without doping) for 8 years. I developed very impressive physique (188cm, 110kg, 10%bf, all naturally). Watching him fighting with 315lbs on Smith machine... Man, it's very uninspirational. Older bodybuilders was big because of doping and heavy training. Today, it's 90% doping substances. :)

  • @BodyHeaven You shouldn't feel uninspired, you should feel STUPID that he got huge using light weights and has been the #1 or 2 bodybuilder in the world for 10 years using light weights, and then shows you with a series of videos how he uses the weights and you still don't get it.

    If it was all about the drugs then why is it always the same 6 guys or so year after year who are the only ones who have a shot of winning Mr O out of millions of bodybuilders using steroids?

  • @kwes26 In everything there are always the best. For me, Cutler isn't Mr. Olympia. His titles are result of some people judging. It doesn't mean anything to me. I have my own parameters and estetics. But the key point is, that weights on exercises dropped a lot in last 5-10 years. Bodybuilding was never more about steroids and hormones than these days... He is a PROFESSIONAL bodybuilder. He has endorsement deals with many supplement..oops, LEGAL supplement companies. And you CLAIM 90 percent doping...a professional versus an amateur...hmm. And so what if he fights with 315? Sometimes being a bodybuilder isnt about weight. Its about conditioning your BODY.Maybe u missed the class

  • @gutwrench he does train year round, except for a week to 3 weeks after a big competition, it just depends on what he wants to do, he might go big or light before starting a serious routine, or go big or light when it comes down to preparing for a big show and thats when he will start working on seperating the muscles and having more and more definition putting the pieces in place, you have to remember, you cant overtrain your muscles cause they will break down on you or u can suffer an injury

  • @JthenH Found it strange.....!?!, because you dont know that Jay is training calfs with chest, if you are a big fan of him you would of know this and btw almost all of the bodybuilders train calfs with outher part of the body for examp. shoulders, cos calfs dont need to be trained with legs, they are diferent muscle group and can be trained 2 or even 3 times a week, calfs recover very quick, because you train them all the time by wallking.   • @timoboll777 I've always heard it's good to train your calfs with a different body part ex: I do mine with Chest, because it allows you to focus more on it, and build them better.

  • you cant really compeare his strength to a powerlifter-strongman as jay is having like 30-60 seconds break. only because he aint training very heavy doesnt mean he cant lift it if he take longer breaks.try with 30-90 sec yourself on your heavy sets, and you see ;)

  • You guys commenting about his strength or lack thereof should buy one of his older dvds like 'one step closer' or 'jay to z'. He uses about the same weight but you see full workouts and the amount of weight he actually lifts during the entire session. Also he doesn't rest too long between sets, maybe 45 secs to 90 secs. Also your next chest workout preexhaust you chest with that upper HS chest machine, short rest periods then see what dumbells you can use for your inclines. Makes a big dif

  • i met jay at the arnold this year..awesome ass dude..took time to meet and shake hands with everyone, even on his way out the door...if you don't like his videos/bodybuilding, don't wast time watching them..its not exactly a sport, but it takes a great amount of mental and physical toughness to reach the top, and thats exactly what jay has done..performance enhancers or not, these guys put their heart and soul into this shit, so at least give props for their dedication..
