Say these things in your head and apply them technically in the future if you really want to... unless you need to publicly be modest.
.. that solo was genuine to me and I felt it, and I loved it, and I grew from it, and it made me forget the pains of the day and live/feel/listen in the moment
..and while I dont have ears or technical opinions like Miles Davis ..but if he were there listening live, I would have had him up there dancing with me in the front row forgetting about his shit and feeling the moment too...
When musicians tell the audience what could have been 'different or better', they take away from the perfect moment that may have been given to someone listening with genuine ears and feeling with their heart...
it puts the music back in the head and back into a mental place of restrictions and rules, which is exACTLY what people may be trying to seperate themselves from by giving a piece of their life to being in your audience.
Touche, I do dig it. I suppose after adding it to my favorites, I felt some concern about indulging in my own performance, and wanted to playfully diminish it somehow under the not-to-convincing guise of some random youtube watcher. But yeah, it's super funky! And Julian is tight!
Hey man, how about leaving some space? Ever listen to miles davis? I gotta hand it to that drummer, though, he's tight.
