  • McSweeney & Lee did not design St. Mary's. They were the diocese's architects and designed many buildings for them, but were so mediocre that architecture critic Allen Temko led a crusade against McSweeney's design.

  • I love St. Mary's...and I have attended many services and concerts there...but from the outside...it looks like a giant washing machine agitator! What would Monseigneur Bowe say! He was there is 1974...wasn't he?
