@Sactreats You dont make any sense. i have played many marches in my day and usually the trios are GAY and too fruity so um i know what im talking abt
@sonneymoore7 Okay, I'll make it easy for you. You're using the word gay to be derogatory. I'm gay, so I know what I'm talking about. I've played some marches in my day as well. But I've also done other things in my life, met a lot of different kind of people, and I've noticed that people get pompous, arrogant and derisive about overly particular bits of minutia that they think make them special are huge dipshits. So uh, I know what I'm talking about, you homophobic cretin.
@Sactreats excuse me but was i calling u gay??? no and idk if u havent realized it but the word gay has changed its meaning when i say its gay i didnt mean gay as homophobic gay the word has changed lol ur so funny stop being so selfish, were talking about a fucking march like get over urself look in the mirror because the way ur talking to me is very ARROGANT and POMPOUS... oh and btw im a female trumpet player and my original arguement was that the trio was not "gay"
@sonneymoore7 o and also im a very big gay rights activist so for u to call me homphobic is completely ignorant dont make false accusations before u know ur shit thankyou very much , good day
@sonneymoore7 You're calling me pompous and arrogant, and you're calling yourself a big gay rights activist, and you're using a word that describes a huge part of my identity as a slur, and you're trying to tell me that the word means something different now. This is who I am, not you. That word means nothing to you. It's my life and identiy. I know what hard satire is, I don't expect people to pc and serious about everything. But you don't know what you're talking about. Fine, don't apologize.
@Sactreats LOL get over urself!! it does mean something different around here you obviously dont live or grew up around here or the ppl im talking abt im not going to apologize because i can use the word gay all i want it doesnt mean what u think it means anymore , well atleast over here my gay friend Glen he uses the word GAY all the time lol just drop it dude ur right and im right
@sonneymoore7 No, I'm not going to drop it because I'm not wrong. Just apologize. I don't care about your gay friend. Tell him hi. I'm not talking about you or your friend or wherever it is you live or whatever. My point is that you're not with your friend or in your home town, you're on the internet where everyone can see your comments. I'm some guy who likes military marches too, and when you say that, I think you're a dick. Now, I can believe you "didn't mean it that way" but you did say it
Lieutenant Frederick Joseph Ricketts wrote this march along with others such as "Colonel Bogey". Kenneth Alford was a nom de plume he used. I think he was a Major when he retired.
@54autocar Yes and he also included great saxophone parts that blend perfectly with the euphoniums. Giving the marches their signature "singing" effect.
left left left must stay on step!!!!!

@sonneymoore7 is it cool like being a bigot when talking about the trio of a military march-type cool? Because that's actually pretty lame.

Great euphonium part...nobody could write for euphoniums like Alford did in his marches!
