@MrJohnson448 Hell no lol I use a lesche. If I could I would use a full sized shovel! Some places where I live you can only use a screw driver / ice pick to dig. Thanks for the comment. HH!
@achtung253 just a bounty hunter prospector for my fist one until i get the hang of it.i'm in mt vernon about a hour north of settle,i'll try to get some vids up if i find anything worth posting lol =)
@achtung253 well,my best find of the day was a 1936 wheat penny not to bad for my first time out =) also i found what looks to be a old music box or something like that,it has a bunch of gears inside it also a horse shoe and some other random junk lol
Matt, Lowes has a cool little trowel that is 2 inch wide and about 6 long blade with a sharp edge on one side and serrated knife on other. It was under $15 bucks and is basically like the $60 dollar metal detecting version. I have been using it for a few months and its awsome when it comes to making plugs in grass or rooted areas. You should buy one and try it out and see if its better then the screw driver.
Where in WA are you? The secondary hand held beeper doesnt make differnt sounds so you are not digging up aluminum? I also live in WA so I would like to join your little club. I have a clue to a massive find too that I have been tracking for 10 years! I need a serious partner.
those pointers are awsome. when i got mine it made it so easy to locate the smaller objects your looking for. Also those $60 small shovels with serrated blades are 12bucks in Lowes.
@redroad53 That is called a Garrett Pro Pointer. Its a metal detector for pin pointing objects. They work great and I recommend anyone that metal detects use one. They save you a ton of time. Thanks for your comment
IS THE SCREWDRIVER YOUR ITEM OF CHOICE TO DIG WITH ALL THE TIME? BETTER LUCK NEXT OUTING...HH

@chambers104 Great job man! I only found 1 wheatie today as well. Just keep at it and you will rake in the silver and gold.
achtung253 2 months ago
@achtung253 yeah,i'll have to try the river or beach next time,i'm sure theres better finds there.
chambers104 2 months ago
@chambers104 Its worth a shot but the place you just hunted sounds promising. Where there is 1 wheatie there is more to be found.

What kind of metal detector do you use? I'm trying to buy another because mine is just awful
josh2crush 6 months ago
@josh2crush In this video I am using the Garrett Ace 150, I am currently using the 350. If your just starting out I would recommend either of them.

ive found that shovels work much better than screwdrivers haha
johnsonthehunter 11 months ago
@johnsonthehunter You cant legally use a shovel in this park. A icepick or screwdriver with a blade no wider then 2 inches.
achtung253 11 months ago
@achtung253 wow that stinks
johnsonthehunter 10 months ago
@johnsonthehunter Its not bad if the coins are not very deep. I do have a small plugger now
achtung253 10 months ago
@achtung253 Wow that is a silly rule. Plugs do much less damage than tearing up the turf with a screwdriver...
I feel for you man... Thanks for taking the time to share your hunt!
