What is the difference between Lebanese Belly dancing and Turkish Belly dancing??? Is it the moves, costumes, music, etc.... please explain I'm not Arabic but have interest in this culture for their music.

I'm Lebanese, and my hair is 2 1/2 feet long, natural (my own), healthy and raven. :) I also read recently that Arab women have the best skin in the world. The research was done by Europeans in Switzerland.

Belly-dance basically originated as a dance of submission and survival in a man's world. It is entirely about being sexy and wanting to show off your goods to the men who watch you, so they will want to keep and take care of you. Whether you like to admit it or not, that is how bellydance began in Western Asia/Northern Africa. In the West, women have tried to make bellydance a form of feminism but that's a lie.
Just b/c I'm from the US doesn't mean I don't know about this. I know more than a lot of mid-easterners b/c I actually research it. There is MUCH evidence that dates "belly dance" to cultures & times that were matriarchal. Women had the land, money, religion, and power & didn't depend on men to care for them. Hardly sounds like they were submissively dancing for their dinner. It is still used in many places to help women b/f, during, & after childbirth. Get educated b/f you try to school people.

Read a book sometime, Lebanon is a made up coutnry carved out of greater Syria, it is in the Arab world, they speak Arabic and their food is from the Arab cuisine.
They speak a dialect of Arabic like everyone else in the the Middle East and their food also has a lot of the Greek cuisine in it, if you have done your research. It's generally referred to as Mediterranean .
As far the Lebanese people, you are in part wrong. There are Arabs there, true, but the Arab gene is not blue eyes and blonde hair, as many Lebanese are. This comes from the Phoenician in them, who sailed to other continents and returned home with brides, many of which were European.

In the Middle East belly dancers often wear heals or other shoes. Actually, in some places (like Lebanon and Turkey, for example) heals are the norm, and barefoot "looks weird".

Read a book sometime, Lebanon is a made up coutnry carved out of greater Syria, it is in the Arab world, they speak Arabic and their food is from the Arab cuisine.

They speak a dialect of Arabic like everyone else in the the Middle East and their food also has a lot of the Greek cuisine in it, if you have done your research. It's generally referred to as Mediterranean .
As far the Lebanese people, you are in part wrong. There are Arabs there, true, but the Arab gene is not blue eyes and blonde hair, as many Lebanese are. This comes from the Phoenician in them, who sailed to other continents and returned home with brides, many of which were European.
