Hey bro, I might do some Santana someday - this is the perfect guitar for it :) As for the solo, I used the amp's distortion, but I added just a little bit of Chorus and Delay, using pedals.

Just a little constructive criticism, if you'll indulge me.

I understand you were trying to make the chords clear during the verses, but you really needed to add a little dirt to the mix.

Your solo was very much you channelling the great SRV, and your tone was spot on. Nice job!

I understand completely - that was one of my concerns going into this. Stevie has that wonderful slightly gritty but clean Strat sound, I just could not dial that in. That's one of the reasons I added the dirty guitar underneath the funky chorus riff. It doesn't come close to sounding like SRV, but I knew I had to do something for an edge. :)
