Beat the game. Then you open it. You have to collect all the gold coins. In worlds 1-8. To open a stage in world 9.

@Shut0w3n i just got smg2 and it is very difficult. I can't make up my mind on which one is harder, but nsmbwii introduces dark levels as early as world 2. However, I just beat the first world and the boss was really difficult. They are both equally difficult, with hard levels very early in the game.

There is no point in a game if it isn't a challenge, but some games are just too difficult and the game expects too much of the player. I completely agree with you, but not in this case. On the DS one you have to go from world 3 to 5 unless you beat the boss as mini mario and same with going from world 6 to 8 unless you beat it with mini mario is it the same here or do you go to each one automatically

After you beat the game, World 9 is unlocked. Collecting all Star Coins in a world unlocks the corresponding level:

Level 9-1Collect all Star Coins for World 1.

Level 9-2Collect all Star Coins for World 2.

Once you beat the game you get world 9. To get the levels. You most collect all Big Coins in each world. So all world 1 big coins get you 9-1.

W2=Samething, desert

W3= Different. here its snow land but on the ds version, its a tropical island.

W4=Different.on the ds version its a gooey purple swamp green place and here its a island..

W5= Different in ds its a snow place and in here its the purple gooey swamp place.

W6=same.Mountains,

W7=Same. Cloud area.

W8=Same. Bowser land, volcanoes.\

Found a save! I just wanted to make this video before the US release. I got up to world 5. I been playing a level a day. When I get it Saturday Night I'll play it through for real.

I'll tell you this the levels I have played. The game gets hard! Also because of the way Mario moves make it hard too. If your use to the 2D sprite games. You may die a little because this 3d Mario feels different.
