For the amount he talks about it he should atleast be fresh with it but its not even that funny. On some topics hes actually funny but when he gets on his lil racial rants though which is just about every joke in his arsenal, its more opionated and hateful than funny.

Mooney has written for Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy, two of the funniest stand up comedians ever, so saying he isn't very funny doesn't hold much weight. And yes everything for him is motivated by race, he's a product of the hyper-racist environment (USA) he was brought up in. It's obviously effected his outlook on life and his worldview.

Try and understand why someone like Mooney would object to this movie, true or not.

@Midas6489 Because the movie follows the White savior/jungle action/the white going in to save the lowly negro concept......The Blindside and now recently The Help are movies that make it seem like white people are out helping black people all the time. It puts whites in the position of superiority. There is nothing wrong with helping people but movies like this are designed to make whites feel good about themselves. There are a million other true stories where black people help each other.

The movie isn't completely accurate, the Tuohy's and Oher himself even balk at the artistic license taken by Hollywood. Hollywood can ruin even the most powerful true stories, it's a sad fact.

It makes it seem that in every instance white is better.....white people know the way so as a black person I'm going to trust this white person more than this black person trying to help me.
