If I remember correctly , this is a bowtie block 3k, billet crank 3k, 1k oliver rods, fully ported brodix heads $3700 70ish mm turbo and the list goes on. Entire engine build probally cost $25k+ Fully capable of the 800 hp Not sure what its running in the vid. You can watch more videos of this truck on deasnsmultiply site. Look it up! The tough parts I can think of off hand would be door panels (Typhoon) exhaust manifolds, intake manifold, charge air cooler, the original wheels, and the true LB4 block... Other than that it's pretty much an S-10/Astro Van hybrid. And in almost all cases there are aftermarket replacements/upgrades available. Nope never signed up on the dime forum either.

@cwood266 Not necessarily. The block & crank in Dean's Syclone is designed to handle 1400HP. So in a sense it's an overbuild but worth the money. Stock block with 4 bolt main conversion, nitrated crank, eagle H beam & J&E pistons is good enough. There are guys running SAFE deep in 10's in Syclones & Typhoons on stock blocks, cranks & Vortech heads. The real trick is the assembly you can have the best parts but wrong assembly & you have problems. Tuning is another important factor.

These comments are what I would hear on the streets all the time when I drove my Ty around, then, after the average "street rod" in my area was dusted (some nice rich spoiled brats around here), all I would hear is excuses about tire spin, tuning, missing shifts, etc. All of the cars mentioned in these comments are all beastly vehicles in their own respective ways, and all are capable of 800+hp with the right funds. But these are trucks, remember? Deans Sy is what he says it is. I'll vouch.

@TwiztedTurbo Hey dumbshit. I know this truck came with a 4.3L V6 turbo. I don't recall anywhere in my other post saying that it came with anything different. I was just pointing out that it SOUNDED like a 2JZ-GTE out of a Toyota Supra. And I was praying that THAT particular motor swap wasn't done because it would be WAY more badass if a 4.3 was built up to be this kind of monster. So before you start acting tough and calling people names, you might want to re-read what you're replying to.

And why would someone put a 2JZ in a Syclone? For the same reason that someone put an LS1 into a WRX STi. To be unique and to build something that nobody has built before. And I already told you in my previous post that I knew that the 4.3 came with the truck. So either learn to read or shut the fuck up.

Ok, maybe 600hp on a engine dyno with no truck or load and your boost at its full with a shot of NOS.... You loose 30% in drivetrain at least. and being AWD a little more. And again the truck is fairly light. I guess back in the day they rated hp a the tires.. I just dont see the 800hp+ as your title states... But, again a cool fast little truck. Id say 400hp tops. Remember, its just my opinion, I do like the truck.
