What is truly unforgettable is the way Natalie plagiarized her father's song(s) by overdubbing and shamelessly exploiting them long after his death. Many people STILL think they recorded this and other duets together. Out of a modicum of respect, Nat's original recordings deserved to be left pristine and undefiled, i.e., perfect. Does anyone believe that he would have allowed these remakes if he had lived ? I doubt it.

I grew up as a Nat King Cole fan in the 50's and a Natalie Cole fan in the 70's. When I heard this recording for the first time it choked me up with emotion. It still does.

I don't mind. When I was a kid in the 1950's the only time I was around other children was during school hours. All of my other time was spent with adults, parents and their friends and neighbors. I listened to what they listened to and watched what they watched. We got our first T.V. in 1951 or 1952. It did not seem strange to me when I saw Nat King Cole on television as a child. I didn't understand then that this was out of the ordinary. I will be 62 years old this year. Not ancient but. . .
