joshuame505...afegalese7 is right. But I doubt they're Catholic because many Christian radio stations don't believe we're Christian and refuse to include Catholic artists. And 'too bad' you're not Catholic my BROTHER IN CHRIST. You're missing out and I hereby CHALLENGE you to read the early church fathers. Then we'll talk.
I think think many of you are missing the point. It does not matter if you are Catholic, Christian, Jewish.. what have you. The message is simple, redeeming grace. God's love is great and his mercy is endless. The message is love, in every language, every form, God is God. John 3:16 teaches us: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Agreed, the common denominator THAT MATTERS is being born again of the Spirit... Methodist, Pentacostal, Baptist... denomination matters not. What cares the Lord for titles of men... being saved was a life changing moment for me, and I thank God that He chose to soften my heart. It was not of my own will, that I was saved, but of His will. I thank Jesus daily for His mercy and grace.
Afgalese7, you can change the settings for the text comments to not be posted unless you approve of them first. This will prevent wasteful debating and maintain the intent of the video which is to share the gifts that Christ Himself has given to the Holy Catholic Church.
This video shows why it is such an honor to be Catholic. Catholics are blessed to be able to receive Jesus Christ's Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. I pray that everyone comes home to the Catholic Church.
DDon't post on this video anymore STOP people want to glean from the music what they can no one is interested in your comments. you distract people by arguing about this if you don't like the music then shut up and leave!
Look who cares how he came to God the fact is hes a saved man. Doesn't that just blow your mind enough to leave the denominational stuff behind. Yeah catholics and protestants disagree a lot on some very important issues but the main thing is that it was through the word and the death of Jesus Christ that he was saved, he was headed to hell now he's not. Is that not enough?
For all here posting their own opinions about this song. Most likely you're here because of the song by MercyMe. If you don't like the video, ignore it, just listen to the music, get the message you want, and discard what is useless. He doesn't want more arguing, just peace. Peace.
That version of Jesus was beautiful! Looked like Hugh Laurie, sort of. Such an American Jesus! I think He should look like Osama Bin Laden, or something, just to make it more accurate.
David said that he would not kill God's anointed, but he did not hold his tongue. So you're misusing Scripture here. And I'm not taking advice from a person who claims to be Christian but listens to secular rock music. Actions speak louder than words.
Acting is amoral. It can be used for Holy purposes. Like money is amoral. Money can be used for good or bad purposes. Mark 9:38-39Whoever Is Not Against Us Is for Us 38"Teacher," said John, "we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us." 39"Do not stop him," Jesus said. "No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me,
Good job. I am not in the Catholic Church, but I know the bible well enough to know that we confess to God and man.
(James 5:16) Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
Jesus said to hitmhard: "Why do you have such wicked thoughts in your hearts? Now, which of these is easier: to say, "your sins are forgiven," or to say, "get up and walk"?
But to prove to you that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins." (Matthew 9:4-6).
The Son of man gave authority to his disciples to forgive sins. Then the disciples gave this authority to priests.
Sorry... the catholic church is not blessed... by the way... has anyone ever told you you resemble the guy that drove the RV in CHRISTmas vacation (movie)???
p.s. it was weird how you took the note from the girls hand....kinda gave me the creeps.
Jesus said to his disciples: "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone's sins, they are forgiven; if you retain anyone's sins, they are retained." (John 20:23).
How can you understand Jesus' message without confessing your sins to a priest????
If you don't clean your inner house, you won't be able to receive the light of Christ.
"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5) I confess my sins to Jesus, not to men. The Pope calls himself the mediator between us and God. I don't know how anyone can believe that when this verse clearly states otherwise.
Where does the Pope call himself the mediator between us and God? I challenge you to show me only one reference? Otherwise, all you had said was just harsh judgement or the result of brainwashing or prejudices against the catholic church.
I support gotobeck12. The pope calls himself the representative of God on earth, and this is the idea of his institution. Christians cannot have a human leader, especially a leader that enjoys being adored and sits above the crowd the way the pope meets with the people on that square in Italy. Jesus said that we should call NO ONE ON EARTH our FATHER, but we do it for the "pope" and for the priests of different denominations. Our Father, Shepherd, Master and Leader is one and he is in heaven.
(1 Tim 2:5) Paul is talking about reconciliation through the blood of Jesus; this "mediation" occurred once for all on the cross. Please do not confuse this with this has nothing to do with confession. Read 1 Tim 2:1-6 and the context of the message should come to light.
St Paul the Apostle said: "And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." (2 Corinthians 3:18).
Ok, strange?

I'm wondering...is it possible that this is the man's real life testimony to finding Christ?
If it is, who are we to judge how he portrays it?

By the way, your video is a true blasphemy. The gospel is not preached through acting, but with truth and power.

Why do men assume there own righteousness?
We are not Gods we were created in the image of God.
Our righteousness is in God, not in judging others.
Hold your tounge against God's annointed, he doesn't like it when people mess with them.
And you don't get to pick and choose your just a man.
God Bless.
Mercy and love for all.

we do not need to confess our sins to a priest. Jesus is our High Priest...

terrible that the priest turned into the likeness of Jesus....
looks more like surrendering to the catholic church than to Christ alone.
