Jus open a telephone directory an ye'd be amazed how many Gerard Butlers there are. And I can tell ye for sure THEY ALL ARE GERARDS and BUTLERS, though not one of them is famous scottish actor.

Well, I was waiting for something like this :) So, this IS Gerard Butler, set dancing teacher from Ireland, and absolutely NOT the guy with the same name who played king of Spartans in "300" and some other recent movies. By the way, Gerard Butler the actor is Scottish, not Irish.
