  • you guys record there a lot. does that patch have a dip in it or a just different grip? this guy isn't the first to slip up on that patch.

  • @bonvivant55 It's so dark because rnickeymouse and the other photographers put shoe polish there

  • @cunnelatio it wouldn't surprise me. the camera angles are pretty "convenient." If that patch is anything like Roebling Road Raceway, it actually has more traction in the dry, and like ice in the wet..which makes for some pretty interesting race lines in the wet. Now if it's a dip in the transition, I could understand.

  • I'm new at riding sport bikes. That being said I have a k7 gsxr 1000, afraid of lowsiding due to the fact of not knowing what causes it. No haters just advice please.

  • @ProGunTexan Start on something smaller and cheap.

  • @ProGunTexan don't try to lean too far, lean as much as the corner needs, that's what most of these guys slipping about are doing wrong

  • Poor riding skill. He entered the curve incorrectly. If he would have entered it correctly he wouldn't have had a problem in the first place.

The "nice save" was just being lucky.

  • Nice save?? There's no skill here...this dick head is an accident waiting to happen

  • @funkybeat0 Exactly.

  • سواااااق .. او صدفة ..

  • Steering dampener saved him.

  • @rocketnz sure if you say so... all you need is a steering damper and you'll ride like this guy... sure... R6's don't even come with steering dampers.

  • @ZeroBoostBuick you can see the steering dampener installed. you can also see the dampener slowing the steering with the tail whip when the rear lost traction, im not saying he doesnt have skills i'm just saying the dampener slowing down the steering helped him stay in control, as they are designed. if it wasnt installed, chances are he wouldnt have been highsided.

  • Obviously an idiot rider, more like skilled. Just be he doesn't wear a sweatsuit, doesn't mean he can't ride . I've watched people just randomly ride off the road in these videos. I slid sideways through gravel and sand mixture and saved my self. Clothing won't determine a rider.

  • @kopperman1474 That made no sense what so ever, first you say he's an idiot, then you say he's skilled, then the following sentence just made me raise my eyebrow...

  • Everyone watch the slow mo again!!! His position, entry speed, throttle position were all good, he almost looses it due to that SLICK BLACK piece of road, then the bike allof a sudden gains traction again.. Good riding brother!

  • No protective clothing = idiot ....

  • Wow, fire fighter, ambulance, police ? For single bike crash? Envy the force service. So good!

  • Since seeing these video crashing I noticed it usually happen when they pass the second patch of darkergray pavement causing tire hop...

  • scary shit xP

  • Nice sneakers.

  • Awesome save. It sucks to see a rider go down. It seems like so many eat this one curve.

  • Dodgy 2m's worth of tarmac

  • Is that a Daytona 675?

  • @PasswordIncorrect1 r6 in special color

  • Yeah man, some quick reflexes!

  • Nice save i would have pissed myself and crashed .

  • 2 crashes due to "loss of traction" on the same corner both filmed by you. Are you putting some sort of lubricant on the road? because that would be sick. ps good save, i would of bailed!

  • @101johngalt holy shit, dude how big is your head?

  • Niezłe trampki

  • Why do people always try to get on the throttle before they even hit the apex?

  • @kuhlka Totally redundant question/criticism.

All braking/slowing down is done before you enter a corner. Into a corner you should have neutral throttle (be accelerating gently) and then open up on the exit after you've hit the apex. If the corner is nice enough nail it with the throttle wide open all the way through...coming from someone who does knee downs on wet oily roads. :)

If you're still trying to slow down when you enter the corner you've got the balance of your bike messed up.

  • @Zakerith Are you suggesting the ham-fisted application of throttle at full lean couldn't possibly cause a crash? I said 'on the throttle' not neutral throttle. Then again, sorry, I'm no expert at crashing. In my nearly 30 years of riding motorcycles, I have yet to crash on the road, So I might not know what I'm talking about, here.

  • @kuhlka If your going fast through a turn you need to heat up the back tire so when you do actually lay down the throttle your wheels don't spin and you wont low side. :D

  • @Darstashis That being because of the low lean angles.

  • @Darstashis Even warmed-up race tires on a perfect surface will lose traction at full lean if you're not steady and smooth with the throttle, especially on bikes pushing well over 100hp at the rear wheel (see either of my Ducatis). The more extreme the lean angle, the easier it is to break the rear tire loose due to decreasing contact patch. Even MotoGP racers crash mid-corner because they're pushing their tires to the absolute limit on the throttle, cooking their tires by the end of the race.

  • nice reaction

  • Very nice save, handled it like a boss

  • i sometimes wonder if ppl put oil on the road in this famous bend and set up their camera on top of the hill

  • There is CLEARLY a pavement problem here. Almost every riders in these videos crash or at least slide at this point.

  • @chiongzong and leaning

  • Phisicaly it's impossible to go through corner without countersteering. Some sport riders use body balance but, in fact, that force countersteering without pushing grips. Before you'll start arguee with me, try little experiment with pencil. Just put it sharp sided on pointing/middle finger and try to balance. You'll see why steering machine with two wheels and high gravity center is impossible :)

Anyway, head looking at the front of bike, torso up to sky, bad arms position, unhide foot and, m

  • @ziooleck It IS possible to corner without counter-steering. Get on your bike, stand up on the pegs and hold the bars straight. Now, lift one foot off the peg and watch what happens. By definition to counter-steer one must turn the handle bar to some degree; if it remains perfectly straight you are not counter-steering. There are 3 ways to steer on a bike: counter-steering, loading foot pegs, and throttle.

  • made me hold my breath!!!

  • 1. Keep your head

    2. Maintain control, correct but do not over-correct

    3. Recover and return to proper lean.

    4. Empty shit from your pants and boots.

    5. Resume ride.

  • lol

  • porque se fue de alante si fuera de atras salia volando y tambien pesará la moto algo mas

  • i swear its the paint... every time a bike goes its right on that black (you said it was paint in a previous comment section)

  • thats an r1 right?

  • @pali4life48 It´s a R6

  • @xaviermerchant how can u tell??

  • @pali4life48 Bcuz R1´s exhausts are under the seat and R6´s exhaust is on the right side

  • @xaviermerchant Also depends on the year, but...

  • @pali4life48 cause it looks like one?

  • @pali4life48 Also by the sound of the exhaust.

  • watch?v=v0LR2gQc96c&feature=related

  • It looks like he wasn't looking completely through his corner. Looked more straight ahead and went straight. Some use of countersteer as Alfy116 mentioned woulda helped him lean the bike over more smoothly.

  • I dont ride bikes and I know and clearly see he wasnt countersteering for that turn, not trying to be rude just some advice.

  • @Alfy116 How is that even possible? How can you NOT countersteer? How do you think he got the bike to turn in? Read a book or take a school before you make yourself sound like an idiot.

  • @cmttable24 Its very possible to NOT use countersteer going into a corner. Countersteering is simply just another way of handeling a bike. Don't call the guy an idiot for simply giving advice lol.... And just for the record, your "take a school" comment, you could have worded that a bit different there boss ;)

  • @Charles87sf You're an idiot. why do all the retarded comments come from people who don't even have bikes? EVERY bike countersteers, period. Whether you consiously do it or not, the bike is counter steering itself to turn in. You're and idiot, That is all.

  • @STLCBR they don't countersteer under about 12-15mph...

  • @STLCBR you tell em :) lmao

  • Must be a lot of cheap bikes in you neighbourhood.

  • I posted a crash save share so we'll see.........

  • nice save well done

  • Try my vid if u want to see a REAl save ... mullholand fake&film way

  • yeah angel eyes save a lot of traction ... ffs!

  • he riding on slicks ? o.O

  • we want new videos

  • r6

  • so many ppl crash there, its cuz that fucking shitty road there.......you can't get any grip there....

  • It's the dark patch of road.. I'm scared to ride there almost ate it in Ortega

  • I wonder if his helmet was correctly attached :/ ==> 0:27

  • I'm i the only one that wants to ride this road, but are turn off because of the chance that this guy might caught you crashing and put it on youtube.

  • @HAACKER45 ROFL

  • very good save.... good moto driver...

  • Fasted lesson ever learned at 0:08...I'm cool, I got this whole sport bike thing all figured out, watch me take this corner like a boss.......OH shit! .....I'm sorry mister motorcycle you're the boss, my bad. I will never doubt your ability to toss me off for acting like a punk... -We've all been there.

  • nice save dude

  • R.I.P Simoncelli :-(

  • I love this channel, it makes me happy!

  • Body position is horrible!

  • a little bit of poo came out hehe

  • You piss in your pants when something like this happens, but nice saved.

  • new asphalt patches leak oil in the heat , and almost all slips are right after that patch or am i way off?

  • my suspension is really stiff and has never been set up

  • @mtbprodigy If you're the rider in this video, put your helmet on properly.

There's no reason not to fasten it, and no excuse either

  • it would be so bad to see crashing those evil look headlights >:)

  • He's either really damn good, or really damn lucky.

  • nice save but incorrect body position, face it!

  • so what I found interesting is that the back tire didn't lay much rubber on the road as the rear started to slide out. There was only one point that seemed to show black. Almost like the tire wasn't as soft as it needed to be (or maybe not warmed up enough on the sides...?) I do agree with merlinlepper that it looks like the rear was not able to recover from a bump

  • Well done. Only damage is to the shorts!

  • Comment removed

  • wooow niiicee,

  • jajaja.. wake up!!! jajaja

  • Lots of speculation on here. Someone please confirm this but I believe he almost high sided because he was turning his handlebars in the wrong direction. This caused the weight to transfer to the front tires and the scary incident.

  • @doyoung2win yes he was hanging his weight off his bike "incorrectly"; see how his upper body is twisted to stay up he lowers his butt and hips to get his knee closer to the ground? Doing this will often result in too much "input" into the handlebars or at the least, your arms are too tight and don't allow the bars (front wheel) to track exactly where it naturally wants to go. BUT it looks like this was also in conjunction with a bump that caused the rear to overreach the limits of traction

  • Maybe have a look at your rear suspension settings dude. It seems to me that the rear hit a small bump and didn't correct back fast enough making the rear loose traction? I'm no suspension expert....but maaaaybe, your rebound and compression settings are too hard? Anyone got any thoughts on that? Cheers!

  • Not a very good rider to make the mistake in the first place.... Only reason you guy have bikes is because mummy and daddy have money and get your bikes repaired after every little incident.... And after all the crashes, you learn nothing. I can ride better than you and I'm only 15

  • @godzassassiinz Good response!!

  • The rider stated that his body position was incorrect. Can anyone confirm? Too me it appears that he was too forward on the bike which caused the rear tire to lose traction. Would like to hear an experts opinion.

  • @NinjaKPhoto No experts on youtube, just speculation!

  • @yes333yes LOL true!

  • @NinjaKPhoto yes it was "incorrect". It's not a matter of being too *forward* that caused the rear to lose traction. The rider is obviously fairly comfortable doing what he is doing, and that goes a long way towards not "upsetting" the motorcycle in a turn, but he can improve and gain more control. note how his body is twisted - his upper body up (to stay 'over' the motorcycle) while his lower body (butt) is slip off and down to get the knee closer to the ground. this is not recommended

  • like me, that was what he was saying thanks ;DD

  • what is with that corner, mickeymouse you have recorded many crashes there. Dirt on the road? pavement diference? is it close to the freeway and maybe riders tires are not hot yet?

Anyway good save indeed, I would rather see a save than a crash.

  • @burnoutking1971

He started sliding after the black patch... Hm....

  • @Bigalinjapan i've noticed this as well right after that patch people skid. at first i though it was just a fluke, but there has to be some pavement differences at the part. enough maybe for the rear tire to lift and lose traction.

  • Damn! I Love your channel!

I watch the vids allways at the work :D

  • BOM DE RODA !

  • oh shit that was close o.O

  • Whoever put down that dark grey paint to cover up the graffiti needs to be sued for every crashed bike and every injury in that area.

  • @NinjaRider777R Ya got THAT right!

  • Good save! I would gear up a little more for "The Snake" as so much people went down there...Just saying...

  • c mon he isnt really driving slicks on road

man here in germany you can forget to do that and the season is over, too

    -.- fuck off :D

  • very good save but u need to improve ur hang off skills! dont put ur ass too much away from seatposition and ur hole body have to be beside the bike!

  • good save....his butt was off as it should be but his head was still right over the gas tank.

  • This guy is a fucking idiot getting his knee down without bike trousers and kneeslider?! Wear you gear man!

  • @Javic167 lol. he has on sneakers also.....

  • @cademcnown25 Not sneakers, heavy duty mountain biking high tops

  • @mtbprodigy still isn't proper riding gear. he isn't hiking

  • @Javic167 I had knee pads. Why the hell would I put my knee down without pads smartass

  • @mtbprodigy Yes, I looked it now 3 times and still can not belive how silly you can be, driving with normals trowseres with kneepads on it, man my gear saved my life more then once, so wear your gear and no fucking normal trowsers and sneakers!

  • @Javic167 To each his own. It's his own skin. Looks to me like he had some sort of pucks on there. Even if he didn't, I don't think you have to be calling dirty names and shit like that on here. Go ahead, you probably have something nice to say back to me, too...

  • why they can't understand that if you give gas on the top of the turn you will lose your balance and you will fall. You must brake before the turn, you go with clutch or with 5% gas and when turn almost stop and you are on the straight line again you start giving gas(not full) until you are straight again.....a peace of cake..

  • @spiroslouis1 Yeah you where correct untill the Brake before turn part. After that your saying you should hold clutch or barely give throttle in a turn? Your supposed to give throttle in the turn Not instantly full throttle, but DEFENATLY don't hold your clutch and ride it through, it puts alot of weight too the front wich is great for crashing also :)

  • @FlingTM i think i made a mistake about the clutch. we tell the same, you can't give instantly full throttle. you can give a small amount but not much for crashing. only a little bit. just for keeping the speed you got when inserting in the turn.

  • @spiroslouis1 gotta love all the "armchair experts" on youtube! not claiming to be an expert myself, but a comment about the throttle in the turn - the rear tire has a larger contact patch than the front, if you want to maximize traction (total) you should actually have a slight amount of weight transfer to the rear. Coasting (no gas) you will actually probably be slowing. I'm afraid I'm not smooth enough so I usually aim for constant corner speed but slight increase will transfer weight back

  • @jkddaddy agreed, he lacked rear wheel traction because of improper weight balancing. A split second of letting go of the throttle shifts the weight forward so when he pulled the throttle moments later, he lacked enough rear wheel traction for that throttle amount. The key here is to be very smooth on the throttle. There is a nice DVD handbook out there called Twist of the Wrist that explains how important throttle control really is.

  • @spiroslouis1 lol, you should open a school!

  • @spiroslouis1 I had just about 5% gas, my throttle control was smooth

  • @mtbprodigy yes, but you stop the gas and re-gas after ~1 sec. this made to lose your balance.

  • seems to lose traction after going over that patch of new tarmac... good save bro

  • nicely crossed out, too.

  • Comment removed

  • The reason why he lost it is cause he was going too fast for the corner. It's not rocket science, you place that many demands on a tyre and it's a trade off between grip and lean. Grip will lose every time, you Yanks must be steamin to want to deliberately ditch your wheels just to get on You Tube!

  • @Jackrabbit4520 no, the reason why he lost it is bad throttle control! if you lift of dont go straight back on power in middle of the corner. If you do go back on throttle in mid corner, the u have to do it where carefully, without any rush hand movements! :) you dont lose back in mid corner because you are going to fast, you loose it because u want to accelerate too fast!

  • @MrVecitis What a load of rubbish, You'll be telling me next that speed is not a factor in why people crash!!

  • @Jackrabbit4520 lol u genius, if you fall in corner because u are going too fast, then it will always be the front that goes, back will never go on its own! if u drive at all, drive in track sometimes - Learn something!

  • @Jackrabbit4520 wrong. the one who replied to you got it right !

  • But he lived to ride another day that's what matters!!!

  • @TTEN03 I hear that!

  • ruined pants? check.

  • Sweet save with those ninja instincts!

  • Man, I bet that got your heart pumping. Almost, but cool save

  • Nicely done.

Been there before, people like to talk shit who've never been in a situation where your instincts have calculated 10,000 things before you even know what's going on.

    This rider has those instincts.

  • Hey guys, my names nick, and im the idiot in the video with the bad body positioning. The change in pavement definitely made me lose traction but if I had good body positioning it wouldn't have happened. Ive been riding for 6 months. Btw, justmks how did you know I have really hairy balls???

  • @mtbprodigy after looking at your username, I know can definitely confirm you were rockin a pair of 510 shoes am I right!? Nice save btw

  • @Wreckage72 yup 5.10's no matter what im doing.

  • @mtbprodigy haha right on man.

  • @mtbprodigy

Just curious, was your helmet strap fastened? Looks like it's flapping down after the save..

  • @Harkreich yeah, the little button that holds the excess strap broke so its always flapping around

  • @mtbprodigy you know everyone can monday night quarterback what you did or didnt do. When it comes down to it he videos that curve cause people eat shit there. (and we love it) BUT you did good!

  • @mtbprodigy nice work on not freaking out and running straight into the gravel like 99% of people who lose a bit of traction. that probably includes almost everyone here who has criticised your body position.

  • @mtbprodigy Nice save man.

  • OH SHIT... That really was a nice save

  • Comment removed

  • He must have really hairy balls

  • the snake is my fav place to wipe some vasoline oil on JK!~ it just seems like it there sometimes haha

  • The pavement fucked up, you can see really clear on the slow motion part. He is coming thru the corner well, hit the road patch (which is a pain in the ass, in brazil they're almost everywhere) and when he went again to the normal pavement, which is lower than the patch, the tire slides and he almost went down

  • such bad form....

  • Road patches are wicked eh

  • damn his balls must have dropped.

  • what is it with that spot? i can never see any hazardous reason why ppl crash so much? THE ROAD IS ALIVE

  • new dance
