@ke4uyp Coming. Here's a teaser. Very encouraging data. BTW, been thinking about the other comments you made about wavelength vs plate spacing. If what you propose is correct, one should be able to dunk a couple of plates spaced about 6" and hit it with 450MHz UHF to liberate HHO. Personally, I think it would just heat the water.
@ke4uyp Okay folks. It has taken my entire weekend to compile the data but the results are finally in and they're not as bad as I originally thought they might be. Need a couple of days to put it all together. Be watching for a YouTube update and the spreadsheet results posted at alt-nrg*org.
@ke4uyp I have 3 sets of data (9 runs) with 5.00oz of fuel. Ran way too long. Going to start over with 3.00oz each run and a minor change to the upper fuel bowl. Video is coming. I have also been streaming it live at Ustream.
Keep up the good work. Setbacks are an unfortunate fact of life, but don't blame yourself or let it get to you. Take a deep breath and just think of the long term good you are achieving. Spirits high and rise to the challenge.
Just to let you know... you dated the titles for the videos from this day and the last as 2-16-10 and 2-17-10 respectively instead of 8-16-10 and 8-17-10. Keep up the good work!
dang I was so looking forward to this one . This is a sweet set up . I havent been able to get going On my stuff . I will be waiting for you brother . The excitement builds
You can't help but feel like you have let yourself down but the truth is that bad things will always happen no matter who you are. Don't beat your self up over it and keep your eye open for the silver lining. Go zero!
Zero, I may be way out in left field, but I believe the two smaller terminals are for the field. If the engine has a 12V output, they can be connected to it. Otherwise they will need to be hooked up to your battery with an On/Off switch so you don't run the battery down when not in use. Hope this helps.
@ZeroFossilFuel In that case the alternator may still be ok, before you go crazy try and connect a festoon bulb type test light from the B+ to the L terminal and the light should be illuminated when the alternator is not charging and extinguished when charging. Hope this helps and the alternator is still good.
yeap, cooked that alt, take it to rebuild shop, you'll probly find that the internal regulator is toast, there about 12.00 buck Zero IF you have a frendly rebuilder
@NewWorldFuels Diodes tested okay. Went to the repair shop today for a new regulator, only $15. Didn't fix it. Had them check the quick start module. It was good. Coils show continuity. No signs of burnt wiring. I'm stumped. Dropping the whole thing off tomorrow morning. Hopefully it's fixed by end of day.
@ZeroFossilFuel Looked like the positive red stay con was shorted to the case Just a thought Watch everything you put up Thanks for everything you do Zero Keep it coming Lee
I hope your trials end in triumph like mine finally did.. I just hope you don't end up threatening an ASUS tech with physical violence from across the Pacific like I did.
And thanks for your effort, documenting everything like this is a nightmare for the folks that are opposed to this, who just write it off and exploit the bystander effect.. especially in public fashion like this.
Electrical problems that you know how to avoid, but don't notice are always the most painful to experience.. I killed a mainboard on a pc I was building, went through the rounds of taking it all apart (didn't see the tiny micro-scorch mark on the underside) only to put all of the components into an entirely different board.. press power, and have it turn on.. turns out one of the screws was slightly too tight and caused grounding, and two days of me standing over a lifeless pc working on it.
most alternators need to have the field coil activated to produce output. It also looks like the copper lug might be touching the case? I would get some tape on that. You should be able to take the alternator to an auto parts store and have it tested, look at how they connect there wires to test it, you need to mimic that. Peace rawbush
Chaulk it up to shit-happens zero - and move on like you said. I have seen even the best and most experienced electrical engineers do the most preposterous things in my life, and they never loose there jobs - only get new parts to replace the burnt ones and MOVE ON. Can't stop the project because of a mistake. Another factor is going to be HOW LOOSE YOUR DRIVE BELT CAN BE AND YET NOT SLIP. The drive belt will take a lot of friction power away from your engine too.
if it turns out you fried the alternator buy what is known by us old hot rodders as a Chevy 1 wire alternator, they can be bought new or rebuilt from most auto parts stores for about 40 bucks and it only needs the one hot wire to battery as mounted to motor bracket was the ground, easy cheap alternator to use and puts out about 40 amps @ 14.5 Volts DC
@1NRG24Seven This is a Delco Remy SI-21, one wire, 160A. I just called a local shop. New diode pack fit it is only about $25. Should be back in business tonight.
no...the red wire lug is grounding to the alternators body, move it to the 1-2 o'clock position where the body will not touch the metal part of the lug and should work fine. Unless its just the angle of view that makes it appear to be grounding out on the video.
This happens to me all the time, lets hope that you can save it. I'm uploading a Zerofossilfuel video, I recorded your previous video as requested. It should be ready in about 80 minutes :-) You can do it....use the force......use the force !!!....LOL
Tuff luck, Zero. Sorry you have having MY LUCK up in Connecticut--I thought it was confined to me down here in the South. Let's hope for an easy replacement.

Did you wire up the charge indicator light, I did not see the wire at the rear of the alternator?

@ray190te No, that's the terminal that shorted to the battery output.

@ZeroFossilFuel you need to run a positive connection to the alternator so the coils will energize. ray190te is on the right track.

Enjoy your work as usual Z, very nice video productions.
Just wanted you to be aware of this, as it seems more sincere than some other HHO success claims. /watch?v=Py8QYt54EpE
I have no idea why it works, and maybe they even don't. Apparently they barely use up any water. MInd boggling if true. IF.

Don't forget about ionizing the HHO.
It'll up the joules during combustion.
Ionize it twice, and HHO beats Octane's output.

It seems to be the coils are being shorted on the frame. Check the coils to see what they return in value. It is good learning.
