i think metallica didnt sell out...but went mainsteam on the black album...like fuck,its good...and etc...but i think many people relate to that,and tallica went more and more mainstream,the only album i felt pure metallica in these mainstream years are St.Anger..they were really pissed off back then..and it reflected that in the album"fuck it all and no regrets" and that sort of thing,but i think metallica lost it ..death magnetic is a pretty pointless album..like reload and load:/
