thanks for this yo., i guess i have to go cop some records and turn table., this digital shit isn't working for me., gota long ways to go since im just starting but better now than never....
how do you record your beats into your pc? i use a audio interface and then the sound from the mpc goes through that interface and into my pc, using cool edit pro. but i never feel like i've been able to record the beat at its true potential/sound quality. tips?
@polidosk8 use a sound card that have 1 stereo pair of inputs or more.
M-AUDIO DELTA AUDIOPHILE 2496 is nice, this soundcard also has midi in and outs so you can synchronize your mpc with your computer and add instruments on your pc.
usb audio interfaces are the biggest bullshit ever
@Breakbeat90s yeah. im thinking about buying a pro tools interface. Lots of people talk about it and say its the best. Im gonna try and see if i can find anything on ebay
@polidosk8 yes. i have the m audio lt 1010 and i think this is the best sound card you can get for this money. dont give a fuck about ESI interfaces they suck they even cant match into my computer i dont know why lol
@niggyspoo1 dude, you can sample mp3 or whatever format you want, but you can only do so if you connect to the sample LEFT AND RIGHT, instead of just putting files on your card reader or disk, which will not work
oh nah man not concerned, sampling is just our version of music already made, i was only sayin it coz i couldnt remember where id heard it, but props for for the vid.
Yo you are so right about lame records at first ha ha lol! Yeah man when you know what you are looking for it saves time also you find more quality and not quantity vinyl records and samples dope beat man check me out peace!

you'll find as you progress along at the art of sampling that most all music has been sampled. If your concerned with that you're missing the point.
