  • Very good mate, and the info was very educational..any chance of a Gregorian chant?!

  • Come on you Gregorians...

    Come on you Gregorians...

    Come on you Gregorians...

    Come on you Gregorians...

  • @casetone2514 yeah!!!

  • Sorry 'bout that - couldn't resist.

Plainsong is very cool and I quite like singing in Latin ( I was thinking of Adeste Fideles before coming up with the idea of doing pre 18th century carols) but I'm not sure how you could transfer the idea of a capella group singing in to a uke vid - i'll have to have a think..

    Merry X

  • Those Puritans were a bit glum weren't they?

    How great are these vocals?

    How rhetorical are these questions?

  • Very rhetorical.......

...oh, I see! It was a rhetorical questi....

    Never mind

    Thanks James

  • You make that uke sound just like harpsichord. Fantastic Christmas card, Tony. Happy Holidays!

  • Thanks so much! This made my morning! Straight to my favs!

  • Thanks a lot - glad you liked it.

  • Wonderful version!

  • Thank you

  • Awesome version! One of my favorites - yes, I'm a descendant of the Puritans. Gotta go gnash my teeth and rend mine garments now...

  • Hmmmm! I can see you in the hat and pitch fork. What's the missus look like? Any chance of a modern day recreation of American Gothic.

  • The uke definitely was not a tool of the Puritans. They would have burned them all! I never heard this one. It does suit this piece. Fine work.

  • Thanks very much - the Pilgrim Fathers would have benefitted from a bit of uke action, I feel.

  • Thanks for the songs Tony... would you care to join us for some figgy pudding? (I like the sound of the uke on these- sound "harpy")

  • Mmmmm! Figgy pudding! Now, you know, I won't go until I get some.

    Thanks

  • Yeah you are right the Wesley Bros (Charles and John), born in 1703 and 1707 turned out some champion songs and some corking melodies

  • Thanks very much

  • Wow! Very nice Tony. Reminds me of my grandmother dragging me to church.
