  • Paul FTW

  • Palin McCain = Biden Obama

  • who did Letterman want to be President?

  • @YoungIvyScholar obama

  • @YoungIvyScholar As far as i know, he is fairly liberal... so obama

  • Speaking as somebody who voted for McCAIN, I will have to say that this was the begining of a crappy campaing. I only voted for McCAIN, because he was the less of two evils. Screw Republicans and Democrats. They all freaking suck!

  • @springjo1 I mean campaign.

  • Factors leading to decision.... the Jews told John he was running.

  • Palin was his downfall, period. The Rep base isn't any sort of majority like the Dem bas isn't a majority. It's independants.... and they don't give a ***** about any of the base crap.

McCain got blasted about his temper.... ya know what, I saw video... all that it seemed was he was PASSIONATE about what he believed in. as an independant leaning left, I'd have no problem with that. He let the GOP neutor him and got Palin.... he lost the majority,, which are independants.

  • As far as Republicans go, he really wasn't such a bad candidate. God knows he knew the feeling of getting your arm twisted by others (no pun intended).

But hiring Palin was a serious... misstep.

  • John is real world. He is no shit. He has dealth with real world issues from the ground up in a real world perspective. Unfortunately, he was polished enought to win and second, he ran with a bitch.

  • Looks like he didnt get NEAR the candidacy ROFLMAO-

  • Comment removed

  • his candidacy will last 2 secs

  • it lasted 3.

  • boy were you wrong haha

  • your an idiot

  • Whats The Point?

  • Obama Owned The Fuck Outta Guy In The Election. LOL

  • I have to admit he's a funny guy.

  • He's almost ran as a democrat...

  • sarah palin is an IDIOT. Thank god.

  • lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol That's a good one PTB709

  • Amen.

  • McCain's a pretty nice guy, but this is often where neo-con's fall apart. They spin their wheels on the "I want to have a beer with him" mentality and forget, would you let a "nice guy" perform cardiac surgery on your blocked heart?

    Of course not.

The duties of a doctor require immense talent and ability/knowledge; the presidential position require surgical knowledge of the economy, legal system, foreign relations, etc.

It's far too important a position to give to somebody to "make them happy".

  • Damn 500 char's!

Anyways, McCain possesses some decent political abilities, but is not particularly meritorious or exceptional in his policies or handling of issues in his position.

Obama is amazingly exceptional. His cognizance of the fundamental physical scientific foundation of physics' operation of the Universe is leading him to un-veto the federal stem-cell ban, proceed to green energy, understand CO2 buildup, pro-choice (an embryo/fetus isn't sentient ffs), etc.

    Religion=needs2B+private.

  • Good point. We want to have elite people flying our airplanes, elite soldiers protecting our borders, and we want elite neuroscientists doing brain surgeries.

Yet somehow there's this dogma that we need 'a cool guy' as a leader, instead of someone who we think is going to do the best job.

  • Rambha thodai is good.

  • I couldn't have said it better myself. This idea that he was too old to lead our country? What the fuck?

  • he doesn't know how to use a computer.. now that doesn't mean he's stupid, but you need to be able to use a computer to be in that position

  • I cannot imagine ANY scenario where the President of the United States would need to use a computer, that is nonsensical. He has people all around him to do most of the heavy lifting, he just needs to make the decisions. I don't think bills get signed over email. I believe that the important attributes for a president are experience, morality, courage, and open-mindedness, and anyone who would say that Obama outscores McCain on these topics is just an idiot with a rockstar crush.

  • obviously you're republican if you can't argue a point without insulting other people.

in my opinion, the president should be part of society, since he "represents" the united states of america. it's true that you don't sign bills over email, but you need to be involved in society and be a part of it to make good decisions and be a good president. also, i'm not really sure where you heard that McCain is open-minded.

  • what's the name of this music mccain asked them to play?

  • that was "Hail to the Chief"

  • thx

  • why do you hate germans ?

  • what? can you explain what you mean?

  • We are in a depression here in Arizona and many other places. This economy was wrecked by the repeal of the Glass-Steagel Act of 1936. Charles Schumer is bought and paid for by Wall Street and dedicated a year to this task. Commercial Banks were kept separate until 1998. Now you have commercial banks buying out the toxic investment banks whose "heartrate" is as the heartbeat on that medical machine everyone is familiar with. Com. banks operate at a small slow steady rate such as the "flatline" .

  • i wouldn't have voted for him, but he's a good guy :)

  • HA! loser.

  • you guys really need to get off this dem vs rep. crap. It's like coke vs pepsi wars of the 80s. grow up.

  • America made a huge mistake not electing John McCain. I think people are waking up to that now after the party is over from Obama's election.

  • You're fooling yourself.

The U.S. and the WORLD are better off without some ancient Republican fucking things up again, l mean, McCain is just waiting for God. (Or probably Lucifer)

Saying that, l don't think Obama's gonna do much good either.

He is a politician atfer all.

  • The U.S. and the WORLD are better off with Obama as President? What basis are you using to make that conclusion, other than age? Given that Senator McCain's a Republican, I'm sure his economic policies wouldn't be nearly as costly as Obama's, which were recently audited by the Congressional Budgeting Office. The audit showed Obama's budget will run a deficit of over $9 Trillion dollars in the next ten years. That's 4 times the deficit of President Bush's budget.

  • i agree completely.

obama's a typical manipulative politician, and the dems are hardly better than the republicans.

but steps towards nuclear disarmament, and serious climate change policy....the man is growing on me.

  • Old man McCain & Crazy Sarah Palin lost, thank God!

  • i think he is refering to the fact that Bill Clinton was the first black president,

    HAHAHA

  • what ....there are no american Flags!!

  • Thank God Obama won..Whew!!!

  • Yeah real nice salbella that Obama won.

I mean after all, it isn't like Obama supported the banks giving out mortgages which caused the economic meltdown. And it isn't like McCain made attempts to put regulations on the banks thus weakening/stopping the economic crisis.

OH WAIT! I can see you are another mindless Obama supporter. Go die in a hole.

  • "The fundamentals of the economy are sound."

  • So?

Unless McCain did something to really hurt America then I will continue to support him.

  • Uh, I don't know what in this interview gave you that impression that it's such a relief for Obama to win. McCain's done a lot of great things for our country and people from both sides of the aisle recognise him for this.

  • Amen grueman1, amen. Oh yea salbella its sooooo great Obama won. He's really gonna turn this around with his 800 billion dollar porkbarrell spending "stimulus"! Pfft gimme a break. I bet your 500 dollars if this stupid economic crisis didn't happen McCain would have won and we'd be much better off!

  • Even thought he lost, you gotta admit that's a hell of a way of announcing it

  • Does know nobody knows how the title of the music is what McCain forces to be played...

  • McCain told the band guy to play "Hail to the Chief", its the Presidents song. Tad optimistic, eh?

  • just a joke don't freak out about it

  • mccain chose palin as his running-mate because he didn´t wanne become president anymore!!!

  • I'm Canadian ,but John McCain is a true hero,America should be proud.

  • No way hes a true hero. all he did was submit like a dog in Nam then run for president. He did have some good ideas constitutionally but other than that he didn't do much.

  • and Im sure you're much better right? FUcking piece of shit

  • Of course I'm much better. Probably 30% of the country are better. all you hicks can do is cuss at everyone its a sad site.

  • He was ok for a Republican, but Democratz ftw.

  • Does some know what the name of the music is when the president appears...

  • baby got back by sir mix-a-lot

  • John McCain will continue to serve our constitutional republic with honor. God bless John McCain.

  • lol mccain lost

  • serves him right, that dirty campaign he ran. And that nut job he picked...

  • Dude what a disgrance seeing the stupid people of this show apllause this imperialist illuminati simpathizer that gave all the money to the corporations so they can run away to mars or the moons before 2012. I'm outraged at these ignorants... In 2004 is the same people taht voted for Chuasneguer as a GOV of CAL, is the same shit the economy is run by the people behind the curtains not the president, he just can be an obstacle but the real democracy is yet unknown.

  • VotingTips com

  • Bush built the coffin, McCain and Palin will put the last nail in. Stupid is as stupid does...Straight Talk.

    MCCAIN/PALIN 2008

  • McCain the old fucker who has no brains and looks like a fucking piece of shit. This guy is a total idiot, he has no idea about leading a country, why the fuck you think he puts forward this air head cunt of a women Sarah Pealingmyarse. She is a total rat in the system and has nothing but eyes for money. Not for a better future, whoever is voteing for this old twat is totally gone in the head. Obama is one of the most heart warming and well spoken geniuses i ever seen.

    OBAMA 08!

  • You can tell that Dave wants to suck McCain's cock.

  • Face it. The Republicans are laughing all the way to the bank. They probably don't even want to really get in. That's why they put up Grandpa McCain. Look at Cindy these days. She is SO looking for the door. You think she likes the Redneck Roundups they put on for her husband? She's into Joe The Limo Driver, not "joe" the plumber. Joe The Big Expensive Restaurant Owner, not Alan Jackson. You KNOW she'd rather be struttin to Al Green.

  • O_o You're right! lol Doesnt even look like a girl.. XD

wooow im naked right now! Dq

  • No more fear and smear politics. No more condemnation of Muslims and illegal wars and torture. John McCain is unfit to command. He's possessed of a notorious temper and Palin is a moron. VOTE OBAMA.

  • Uh, McCain has fought against torture his entire life.

  • mcCain was slightly acceptable 20 years ago, not now.

    No mcCain, No Way, Never!!

General Colin Powell just endorsed Obama!!!

    Military supports Obama 6 to mcCain's 1!!!

    We hate mcCain!

  • That's a pretty different Mccain than the one we see today.

How the campaign can change someone, maybe the polls would be a lot closer if he remained like this and did not conform to the dirty politics of Washington.

  • McCain for SENATOR 08.

    Obama for PRESIDENT 08

  • nope.

  • This man is a scumbag!

    John not Dave.

  • Scumbag is an understatement.

  • Why? Because he has an R by his name? Just give a reason why he is a scumbag.

  • Lets see he is an admitted war criminal/naval school flunky, left his cripple wife for the rich Stepford wife, beat the shit out of his sons and now he is running the nastiest presidential campaign in the history of politics. . I am a registered independent that went republican several times in my life. After getting a robo call yesterday bashing Obama about several things I could care less about McCain not only lost my respect but my vote as well.

  • Sen. McCain is not U. S. Naval Academy "flunkie". He graduated. And he then served with honor. He was not, is not, a "flunkie".

  • Id like to see anyone of you guys here...thats saying "flunkie" or any other bulls***....to just TRY to as much for this country as McCain! He did not drop out or "flunk"....he graduated and become a great naval officer and a pilot for the US NAVY!! TOP THAT!

  • Sen. John McCain will continue to serve our constitutional republic with honor. God bless John McCain.

  • Alright, what is your issue with McCain?

  • chadmw45 that one is for you.

  • May I say one thing? Thank you. First, thank you for serving this country honoribly for the two tours you served. Second, sorry about your loss. McCain was disrepected by Obama's campian people. And yes you do have the right to say what you want. It's in the Constitution of the US.

  • Admitted war criminal? Wow talk about stretching. His wife is hot, I would marry her too and spanking your sons isn't called "beating" them, a little discipline never hurt anyone. The problem with kids today is the pussy foot liberal ideals of good parenting, no spanking, no contact sports, etc.

As far as you being an Independent and voting Republican before I don't believe it. You do realize you will be voting for the most liberal person to ever run for President, right?

  • Why do you see things as black and white, good and evil, liberal and conservative?

Barack Obama is a John F. Kenndy. He inspires. He unifies. I don't want to list you his accomplishements, but you can go on his website or any other website (unbiased) and look. We need a leader. We need someone who will rebound our country.

We need an exceptional individual. Bill Clinton was an exceptional individual. Ronald Reagan was an exceptional individual. Barack Obama is an exceptional individual.

  • The difference that I can see between Barack Obama and JFK is that JFK preached that Americans shouldn't expect a handout but instead should do their part to help out America. Obama preaches the exact opposite, he believes government is here to take care of the people. The other HUGE difference between JFK and Obama is that JFK was for a strong national defense, Obama has said that he wants to decrease the size of our already hurting military dramatically. It is back to the ways of Jimmy Carter.

  • If JFK was alive today I honestly think he would have been a republican. Or in Canada as they say a Progressive Conservative. Smart government bests out big government any day.

  • if that was any bit true he wuda went to war with russia and it wud be in history books now.

  • We don't really have any smart conservatives in the political ring.

  • I agree that smart beats big; imo no government beats smart government.

however obama's government is really alot smarter than mccains. i'm certainly not a democrat, but whatever you say they are the party of fair taxes, civil liberties, and international security (nuclear deproliferation and climate change legislation...the two biggest threats of our SPECIES)

  • I agree. There is no need to stetch the truth. McCain is a hero. I won't vote for him, but noone denies it.

What saddens me is that Congresswoman Bachmann said that Obama's views are "anti-american" and his wife is "un-american". This saddens me.

I do not understand and I completely repudiate any notion that one party or no party is more patriotic than another or none at all.

Every1 loves their country. People run for President because of it. Americans need help, not fearmongering.

  • Maybe he is the right man to be the next president of the US. If he stops being superstitious he would be a good choice as far as I can see it.

At least he would be popular here in Germany, I suppose.

  • Fuck you for that statement. The man was tortured to near death in the vietnam war. the reason this fact matters is because John McCain refused to leave before the other prisons left. Don't call him stupid for that because that is what REAL heroism is. Actually every vietnam vetern deserves to be know as a hero, but to be fair te real heros are those who unfortunely lost thier lives on the battlefield.

  • Cowards say things bad about the veterns. Cowards could NEVER go through with what men like John McCain and the p.o.w's went through. Do more research on John McCain through the congressional records and get your facts straight.

  • Sorry but I actually lost a grandfather in Vietnam and I did two tours in Iraq myself. I feel as if I have earned the right to say whatever I want about this man. I was no hero, I was just doing my job. My grandfather was a hero but that wouldnt give him the qualifications to run for president. If he did the minute he invoked all of the hated towards Obama that McCain has I would probably disown him. McCain tore up his hero card a long time ago.

  • Damn True!!!

  • Yeah, do read up on him. He's a major hypocrite.

  • I like you John, but Giuliani's got you beat by a landslide my friend.

  • I don't think he has great chances but he is a good man and deserves to run.

  • John would be 72 years old his first year in office if he were to be elected. The presidency really takes a toll on people, so I'm wondering if he could handle it. Look how much GWB has aged since '01...it's amazing.

  • "i hated the gooks. i will hate them for as long as i live" - John McCain, 2000

    yeeeah....real stand up guy

  • i dont blame him. honestly read up about him

  • I think he was talking about his captors and torturers in his Vietnamese POW camp. Fair enough too.

  • McCain is a fake moderate, but a real backstabber, liar and hypocrite. He doesn't have the moral fibre to be President.

  • I doubt McCain has any chance of winning the presidential race, but hey if I had to pick any Republican I would pick him.

  • that was good :D

  • I will vote for him, he is a good man, though he is republican

  • go on John!

  • From what I have seen and heard - he might not be that bad if he makes it.

  • hahaha, man i love paul.

    08 should be interesting

  • Someone who's candidating to President to adress a co-worker in the band in a half threatning half joking aproach is not a President of any country should have.

    Reveals weak and false aptitudes.

  • How about not at all threatening and 100% joking?

I think he comes off way more serious than he really is. My father served under him in the Navy and he actually had a very good sense of humor (and this was post-Vietnam).

  • Didn't he announce previous bids on the Daily Show?

  • i liked the leno joke lol

  • McCain doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning.
