I personally think this is stupid and gimmicky something my granpa would do with his comp. You actually can upgrade the chipset....if you can find the parts.. That wifi thing was a bit sus to me esp becuase b is not that much faster than b/g if all your gonna use it for is browsing itunes and whatnot. IMHO you should: overclock or buy a new netbook for like 300 like an asus eee-pc (even better go for the linux version then you can just virtualise or dual boot windows if you need to).

My old crappy laptop was about that much and it has 384mb RAM.

I spent more on the other parts planning to upgrade the RAM later, but I never did.
