The station ID V/O was by John Clarke, while the legendary Howard Reig introduced "The Eleventh Hour." Which was the only one of WNBC's newscasts to either lead the ratings or be a very close second (to WABC's "Eyewitness News") at this point; their 6 P.M. newscasts were dead last, which was a factor in their starting up "NewsCenter4" in 1974.
