These are police officers not UN soldiers, they shouldn't have to wait to be shot at in order to shoot back, if they see a threat I'd rather have the officer take the guy down then have the guy shoot the officer and then put other people at risk as he attempts to run away.

Bill Lamb, you need to run for Congress! It was tremendously refreshing to see a pro law enforcement, public safety view boiled down to it's most basic essence. Right vs. wrong. In most states (except possibly Calif., New York and Chi) your rights end when you violate someone elses. When you break the law there are consequences. Too many people want to split hairs on should cops be liable for the outcome of maiming or crippling a violent felon. Seriously? They are being served justice fresh.
