  • Yes, wacom inductive touchscreen is underneath the E-Ink panel. Please note that E-Ink displays and LCDs have little in common so talking about refresh rates is misleading. There's no refresh on an EPD. You draw and its done until you want to change it. If you want to change it fast, like for drawing above, then you absolutely can do it as fast as you want and it depends on your choice of panel type (pearl, vizplex, etc) and selected update mode that determines how fast the draw occurs.

  • It's much better than current readers on the market, but still too slow to be a credible replacement for a notepad.

  • Is it Wacom board on top of e-ink? Otherwise, how do you draw? E-ink is roughly 1sec refresh rate...
