eek the attempts at recreating powerchords on a distorted violin are... well intended i'm sure, but sound terrible and scratchy. root + fifth double stops sound better when played with elongated bow movements and when the violin can breathe.. not when it's choked to death with distortion.

however the idea is very cool and at worst the video is some decent eye candy. cheers :)

Very impressive on the fast parts.

The slow parts sound really out of tune. I'm not sure whether thats just the nature of the instrument or whether its trying to play something that has a lot of string bends normally on guitar or whether the violin is tuned/intonated badly, but it doesn't sound too good at those parts.

Maybe try a Mark Woods Violin? They are pretty playable!

But you realise that she's probably spent years/decades intensive training, and you've probably spent a bit of time messing about with internet tabs and widdling about.

No offense intended, but the average guitar player (myself included) gives nothing like the kind of training and dedication of most classically trained instrumentalists. So it's not exactly surprising that such a musician as she is can do things you or I cannot.
