So nice to hear from you guys. Do you remember your concert in Marquee Club. Itwas not 1968 as I wrote erlier. 1970? Next day I went straigt to the HMW shop and few days letter some danes was having good times with the album. It is still one of my best concerts.
It was the first time I saw a mellotron live. Kneww it from I guess Kung Crimson and Moody Blues.
I think Sandy is replying to you guys!! I thought his solo work was outstanding. he did some demos with my brother (Steve Lipson - look him up) not long after Gracious split up where were fantastic but nothing came of them - I think Ive got them somewhere and when I get my hands on them Ill put them up.
Whatever happened to Paul 'Sandy' Davis and why is his solo stuff like Back on my Feet Again not on youtube??This song is really GOOD and was played regularly on fm radio in Montreal in the late '70s...can't seem to find him anywhere...someone please put that tune on youtube....
I was the drummer of Gracious and I can't believe there is still so much interest in us after all this time!!
Just to let you know- it's 40 years next week that we played at the 1970 Isle of Wight festival and we have just received a copy of the filmed bit of us!!
You will be Robert Lipson then! How cool you posted on here. I loved your band. I recall it was Kid Jensen on R Luxembourg who via his excellent Jensens Dimensions programme introduced me to your music ( and made me late for school so often after staying up until 3am listening to him!)
Sad you guys only made two albums, there seemed so much potential there. Let us know where the film is will you?
@SuperRobsal Hi Robert, thanks for posting on here.I think there's a lot of interest in Gracious still. There are a lot of people who are discovering the band through other similar stuff.About five years ago I was given a mix CD with a load of stuff from the Vertigo label. This tune was the intro but it was edited down to about a minute but it was the one tune that grabbed me (and I'm not putting a tongue up your bum by saying this, but it was the feel of the drums and that riff that i loved)
Nice to find this here. I saw them several times around 1970. This recording doesn't do justice to the power of the live performances. Did I hear a rumour they had reformed?
@hiljab I so wish I could have been around to see them at the Marquee when u did.I was born in 1971 and so missed so many classic bands.I've been to the marquee many times to see mediocre bands, but i'd trade all that in to see Gracious play then.I love this track so much
Saw these guys in Maryland Glasgow, 70 performing whole album, Trippin outma skull, it was an amazin experience! :)

Do you remember what we played as an encore?
We debuted Supernova, followed by Windy Day, but none of us can remember the encore
If you were there maybe you can
Thanks
