I absouletly love this song. I have a son that lost his real dad when he was two and his mom (my future wife) is deaf and mute so he has had a rough go of it. I really feel sorry for him he became attached to me very quickly and now wakes up in the middle of the night screaming for me. He keeps telling me hes afraid I am going to leave him. Not sure how to convience someone that has been thru what he has been thru that I will never leave him.

Ohh man, I've heard this song maybe 20 times on radio, but never would I thought it's from Darius. He's so goooddd. And this time listening and watching this video make me teared up. Cause I have 7 & 4 yrs old boys. Yep, it wont be like this for long. Love this song and the artist. He's so talented. Love you very much my boys. @TheMegzo1989 Hold tight whatever you do. It only seems to go faster the bigger they get. My son will be starting Kindergarten this year and I'm so confused what happened to the first 5 years. I have thousands of pictures to show for those 5 years but somehow I feel like I must have blinked. Children are an amazing gift.

Everytime i hear this song i try to fight the tears because this song is true nothing last very long espicially Whn it comes to kids.. I'm 16 and my dad is an addict in a few ways and hasn't been here for me in 13teeen yrs i just wish he cared enough to be here and this song is what a real dad is suppose to be. So take each moment slow and live each day like your last because it won't be like this for long.

I get a little teary eyed everytime I hear this song. I have a 4 year old little girl and a 12 year old step-daughter that I have raised since she was 4. It helps keep me focused on cherishing every moment with my beautiful girls and not allowing anything else in life to distract me.

I love this song b/c it makes me think of my own father, who was very involved and still is today. I only wish it had been released before Aug 08 b/c I would have loved to have made this my father/daughter dance at my wedding. Of course a month and a half ago it took on new meaning when my husband and I learned that the baby we're expecting this spring is a girl. Everytime I hear it, I think of the wonderful relationship my husband will have with our daughter...Makes my heart melt!

i always think of me and my dad with this song. what hurts the most is that my parents divorced when i was 16 months and my brother was 1 i didnt see my dad till i was 3 and i had already grown up. he wouldve never came back if it wasnt for my aunt(his sister). i love my dad sooo much but he's getting sicker and i rarely ever see him anymore the last time i saw him was my birthday 3 months ago.

Dont really know my dad. My brothers and me are the other family. We came from a dad who was already married to another woman. Mom always was and will be both mom and dad. She raised us and was there for us as best she could. Im now 40 years old. I love that woman soooo much. This song makes me think of her. Awesome song Mr Darius. :)

I am extremely grateful to have my dad. He is an amazing person and him and my mom work so hard to our life as loving and wonderful as they can. I am the biggest daddy's girl ever and I hope one day to find someone who is half the person my father is. For those of you who have not had such a good relationship with their fathers, I am sorry and they missed out on so much but I pray that someday (this is for the girls) you will find someone who will make you feel loved and loves your children too
