@Alexon88 sort of. undead in WC3 is kinda a mix of zerg and protoss because of the creep with zerg, and the automatic buildings with protoss.

mmmmm i think starcraft 2 looks a bit tooo much like warcraft 3 night elf can move his buildings like terran. protoss can spawn building like undead and much more

Hey guys, I'm fairly new at Starcraft so I don't play very well. My friend keeps massing carriers, photon cannons, and dark templars on me. I'm currently playing Starcraft 1. What can I do to counter that? It would be helpful if you guys give me tips for each race. Thanks

@GretzkyTheWonderDog You playing as Terran? I playt as terran and to kill a bunch of carriers use cloaked wraiths (If they dont have observers), or Battle cruisers and science vessels with EMP shockwave. use an emp shockwave then yamato canon that carrier. For DT's keep comsats science vessels and missile turrets handy DT's dont have much health. And seige tanks in seige mode outrang photon canons so Thats what I use. Have fun I hope it helps :)

If your on facebook, join the starcraft fanpage...the official one...they are currently giving away free beta keys daily...the catch is its posted randomly throughout the day. So the first one to claim it will get it....its hard though...within a minute theres like a hundred people commenting on the post pissed that they didn't get it in time xD

Try turning your modem off for 10 seconds then turning it back on. It might solve your internet problems! Also do an isolation test (google it).

a new graphics card will not help you with video processing speed at all (unless you buy a gpgpu-card and cuda-software or opengl-cl-software that costs thousands when it comes to the markets)

did they remove the dark pylon or w/e its called for protoss? i thought it made all probes carry 3 extra minerals per trip for 30 seconds with a 1 min CD or something like that?

@TheBlackOrchid yeah they removed the dark pylon. However, the Nexus has an ability called Chrono Boost which decreases production time, in compensation I suppose.

ya, that's gone. They replaced it with chrono boost. Which increases production of research or units 50% faster for 20 seconds.

you know what would be a really cool rts mechanic? a line of sight shot.. where they can only shoot whats in front of them.. so they can't attack a unit behind a unit..

that way u can micro a high health unit into the line of sight to soak up the damage..

maybe in some super micro intensive game like wc4.... im praying

@ricefarmer That might kind of screw ranged units ._. and could only apply to a certain few, surely marines can wedge guns between eachother to an extent, or assume some kneel and fire etc. but firing over a tank maybe not. They'd have to allow ranged units to form up for themselves, maybe climbing around obstacles to get a LOS.
