  • WOW,,,, i,m going to buy a landy soon,,, but hey i wont be doing that ,,, i think

  • 12 people dont know how to drive a proper 4x4

  • The coolest thing about this video is that huge bridge made entirely of wood.

  • could you possibly imagine anything made in the useless states of ass hole america doing anything remotely close to that British icon more or less out of the box...ha ha dream on you chrysler jeep driving hicks.. once again the most unreliable vehicle in the world... yes yankee doodle, there is more to the world than just your 2 minute old polluted country... nob l !!

  • @motosteev Hey Eurotrash!! Our two minute old polluted country? Why don't you go and jack off to a picture of that old bag queen you have, you rotted-tooth, pasty little girl...when we want your opinion, we'll give it to you...

  • Why buy a boat, when you can buy a Land Rover? ;)

  • 10 people have jeeps

  • Land Rover it does what it says on the tin . Fantastic

  • Why buy a mitsubishi?, when you can buy a Land Rover! ;)

  • c est un def!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • love this video

  • just like one big puddle

  • Landys don't get stuck !!!!!

  • Just another way to wash your truck.

  • Amazing....Only a Landy could do this....

  • That there must be one o them submarine defenders

  • RESPECT!!!

  • no jap or yank shit could do that...

  • @motosteev

Thats because they don't want wet carpeting, and that has a snorkel.... so yes a Jeep® could.

  • @motosteev You sure about that?

  • sick

  • My favourite car

  • um barco ou um carro ?

  • damn good

  • thats awesome

  • LOVE IT!!! BALLS MAN!

  • Dammmn guys...balls of Steel...gotta love the Defender...

  • only a defender could do that

  • classic than re-working the story and taking. See this film @ MovieWatcher (.) US

  • I love this machine! My dream...

  • Is that trail rated? Lol.

  • as well as painting steel!!

  • shit.. crazy

  • That`s pretty amazing...

  • i guy drives his landy in a river fair enough i think. then he drops it in a very deep hole. scary i think. and all the coments are on rust

who sad must you all be

  • i beg to disagree..series rovers always haw aluminium wings. NEVER steel. at least thats the case for my series 2, 2a, late 2a and 3

  • ahh it must be the good old land rover thing of using what ever they had to hand then! my ex mod 2a had ali wings, my S3 had steel?!?

  • this is better than newest jeep grand cherokee 2009 model i have the grand cherokee and i killed it in 1.5 meter water

  • Pretty dumb of you to do that.

You realize this thing has a snorke, too, right?

  • duh-.-,

  • Are the defender's still using aluminum body's?

  • they dont use aluminium body's in the 90's models and previous as they rust badly but dont know about modern ones,

  • sorry pip, but my 1990 defender is still mostly ali.

Chassis are and have always been steel, defenders until recently have been ali apart from the bulkhead, though the doors are steel frame with ali skins.

Modern puma engined have a lot more steel, new all steel doors and rear door, but this is either galvanized or some sort of zinc treatment. Main body (i.e wings/tub) are still ali I believe

  • lol i stand proven wrong, thanks for that though as im buyin myself one and was expecting to do a lot more welding but if they are aluminium then thats all sweet! cheers foir the info

  • no worries, easily confused as the series vehicles mostly had steel wings. but bimetallic corrosion is still a pain in the arse.

If your looking to buy, then mainly try to find the best chassis and bulkhead you can. The running gear/engine is easy and fair cheaply repaired, once the chassis gets to a very bad state it gets expensive.

checkout lr4x4, best land rover forum out there. cheers ruu

  • aluminum doesn't rust, moron. The only rusty parts of rovers are the steel floorpans and structural parts of the body.

  • wow i didnt know that, i guess my 4 years doing degree in metal work didnt tell me that

  • Well... Technically, the process of rusting is an oxidation process. And aluminium does oxidate. Really really fast even. It just doesn't turn the reddish/yellow/brown colour that steel or iron does.

  • Aluminium does not corrode? It most certainly does. Ask anyone who knows about aircraft. Part of the hours cerification process is to inspect for aluminium corrosion.

  • @gunsandroses1111 I better go paint my aluminum engine, transmission and transfercase then I suppose. There are many types of aluminum alloys. Some do very well in corrosive enviroments. There are reasons the aircraft industry uses a light weight/high tensile strength alloy. It might not have the best corrosion resistance though. As I posted to another, some alloys do get in marine enviroments. It all depends on what type is used

  • @willums70 yes but aluminium corrodes and thats just as bad

  • thats why they put a anti-corosion coating on it!

  • @willums70 yeahh man ONLY the floor and structural parts.......who needs them ;) haha

  • @willums70

aluminium does rust(oxidise) , just differently and more slowly than steel.

  • @jeep4jeep Depends on the aluminum used such as 5052 which has excellent corrosion resistance in marine enviroments. It is certainly better than mild steel. You dont even need to paint aluminum sometimes. The reason your Jeep isn't aluminum is for one reason: costs. Plain and simple.

  • @jeep4jeep @willums70

    Aluminium doesn't rust is oxidises.

  • only the important bits ;) love Land Rovers, just hate the rust!

  • @willums70 Yea who needs the structural parts of the truck. lmao.

  • @willums70 Oxidisation!

  • @TheCaferocker ...yeh

  • Yes

  • defenders rule and there british

    lol

  • the defender is very good, but i prefer the troller bcause he is ferous

  • british landrovers rock

  • I love it! Land Rover's shows no limit.

  • well the defender was voted by top gears viewers as the greatest car of all time its an abserlute ledgend and the most unmatchable in off road ability

  • Sweet jeep. I can't believe it made it outta there.

  • this is no jeep, this is better than a jeep :p

  • kind of scary but Defenders are the best!lifesaver

  • british are the best breed of peolpe

  • @Jepetidude But do they gotta look so damn pasty?

  • :0 That thing was nearly submerged! Top motor, and top driving!

  • Kick ass vid

  • this is a mental video

we hav taken my m8s 90 into stuff like this and its such gd fun

    landrovers all the way

  • i love defenders ultimate offroad

  • the defender 90's are better than the 110.

  • pure ownage!

    my dad has 2 defenders, a 90 and a 110.

  • zxaxaxaxax woww

  • Shit this car his awsome, im watching videos of land rover, because i ll buy the Land Rover Defender '2009 in a weak........i never had a land rover before, if the defender 90 can do that, the defender 09 can do better right? or the defender 90 is unique?

  • Defender 90 is the name of the model. It doesnt mean this car is from 1990. 90 is for wheelbase lenght, which is 90 inches long. There are other defenders, called 110 or 130, and their names are also because fo their wheelbase.

  • LOSER

  • 90 refers to the 90 in of chassis LOL just as the LR 110 etc haha

  • The defender in this video is fully equipped to drive in water this deep (such as the black 'snorkel' intake you see by the windscreen), but a standard model wont do things quite so spectacular unless you want to spend a bit more cash on it.

  • problem with the newer ones is that the electrics can go funny if you start submerging them a lot. a 200tdi would survive water better

  • you never find Mercedes g500 that can do that. Land Rover the best 4x4 far!!!

  • You'll never find a jeep that can do that. :D-90 is just insane

  • i love d-90s as well, but my jeep has been in deeper. Snorkels can be put on anything, as well as waterproofing and extending breathers. If proper protection is used, this is no problem. D90 would have hydro locked without that snorkel.

  • Do jeeps come stock with snorkels like the D90 does?

  • Defenders don't come stock with snorkels

  • thank you. I was just gonna respond to this haha. snorkels are a relatively easy upgrade if you plan on doing a bunch of water crossings or desert driving

  • gotta love those D90s :)

nice vid, thought you'd actually stopped at 50sec point - lol.

  • LoL man

  • all my respect for u guys!!!

  • Holy SHIT @ 28 seconds :o

  • omg

  • thats exactly what i said..

  • Respect

  • Grande Defender, grandissimo driver!

  • Best 4X4 by far.>JB

  • are you being serious, people do that stuff all the time mate, why bother making a fake video of it?

  • no mate, do u just think its not possible or something? because it is very possible me and my friends do stuff like that in defenders! no point in doing cgi when there are lots of vids of land rovers in DEEP water up to the wind shield!

  • defender. what else.

  • holly cow . that is bad ass.

  • man those d90's are sick sick sick machines. unfucking believeable.

  • Only rover worth having. I myself have the another legend. 97 80 series land cruiser. Nice rig.

  • tolle Aktion!

  • fuckin mint hahahaha mi landis going to die after watchin that i hope mine can swim hahaha

  • i miss my landrover... i wrote it off in febuary :( saving up for another though :)

  • you must have got water in then

  • thats brilliant!! nice deep water!! bet it was cold

  • Are Land Rovers invinsible?......!!!!

  • Pritty much, we have put a a cople through there pases and we just rebuild if we break something :D

  • Only in a fuckin' rover!

  • great job!

  • una makina... the best 4x4

  • xFAR ;)

  • these machines are unbeatable beats

  • dude u are dumb as hell the g class is buil on a benz s class platform. dude nothn gos through water like that not even boats! Fuck ur benz g class its just a wanna be Land Rover! The Best 4x4xfar bitch

  • On a S class platform ???

  • a UNIMOG would rock.

but not anything with the actual Mercedes name on it.

  • haha you are some stupid :),ok go to Your Mercedes & [G]o to terrain. BTW unimog is LORRY, Defender is CAR.

  • you doughnut, the unimog is a lorry. nothing is touching the defender.

  • harika

  • süper

  • what engine is in this one? definately not a v8 from the sound. very good video, fun to watch every time!!

  • Looks as though it's a 300Tdi or a Td5. The 200Tdi and older TDs have the air intake on the left hand side, so the sorkel would be on the opposite side. Hope this helps!

  • Now there is a video to brag about. That was awesome

  • now thats how to wash a defender!!!!

  • wow, that was pretty deep when you came round that support, looks like you got a bit of water in the air filter though judging by the bit of white smoke it was hoofin out, just wants sealin up a bit better thats all, dont forget the drains on the airfilter housin and intake vent.

  • Range Rovers came out in 1970 in the UK, late eighties in the US. I drive a 300tdi discovery

  • What you got no tax, so you drive in the rivers....lol good one..

  • Ca c'est un vrai 4*4 tout terrain, pas un de ces stupides SUV :-)

  • thats amazin ,why doesnt the landrover pack in?i am not mechanically minded can someone explain why the landrover can go in so deep and still works? thanks

  • you need to have a snorkel kit on the engine to alow it to breeth under water n it needs to b a deasle otherwise it wont work

  • So does the engine not flood?

    thanks for the info

  • also you need to make sure that if your ECU is in the engine bay it needs to be water tight

  • thanks for replying, its an amazing feat for a landrover.you really have to take your hat off to the boys at landrover, they produce superb machines.

  • hahaha ill drink to that!!

  • very quick mate....lol

  • I thought the ECU in Td5 is under the seat from the co-driver?

  • Yep, your'e right, but you can seal it, or place it higher up.

  • Petrols can play too -although the distributor is usually the weak link on most older engines.

  • It's all about the derv

  • thaats a great way to wash your car though

  • ...And my brother thinks these are the worst cars ever...what an idiot!!!

  • I got a tdi 110.. I go deeper than this... bcos theres a flood around my area.. all the ppl usin boat.. n im in my car.. but to bad when I realize. that I did drown my 1500w amp together with the deathbox sub... its too late.. but hell yea its fun.. worth it

  • no no the the 87 rover was the first rover in the u.s

  • Ive had over 3 or so of these babies, and ive had a rangerovers since they come out in 87

  • Don't you mean '67? That's when the Range Rover 1st made its appearance. They are the best though...

  • I would love to go that deep in mine BUT I need to sort out a diesel leak first!!!!!

Love Land Rovers I have a beauty if you want to have a look just search for TANGO 4x4 your also welcome to join my club ;)

  • simply awesome!!! landies ....the best

  • defenders are incredible machines!!!

  • Como te pille el seprona te funde !!!!!

  • what? is that a car???? oooohh i see its a land rover, that explains it all.. where did you got your diving licence? haha

  • submarine ;)

  • Acojonante, from Spain

  • impresive, very good!!!!
