i know Samus looks hot and all, but was anyone else annoyed that she looked more like a Super Model and less like a... fighter? I expected scars, muscles and messy hair to indicate her life as a Bounty Hunter, too busy to notice her own complexions.

Tony stark doesnt have scratches on his face after a battle because hes in a flippin suit! Its meant to protect ur vitals! Of course she wouldnt look messy. also, she didnt like JUST come from a battle. And even if she did, she would clean herself up with her built in make-up kit in her suit XD

Sorry but you are clearly wrong. Plus I have played some Halo games, it's just shoot the same enemies over and over and over again with the same weapons. Very boring! Unlike Metroid, which has creative boss battles, unique items, weapons, abilities, etc. You never now what is going to happen next or how the story will end. Honestly IF there is anything that halo excels at than Metroid is visual graphs and some voice acting.

looking back at it, metroid other m is not poorly written. in fact, it is beautifully written, the problem that is present is that it is over written. the dialogues and monologues are all well done and are actually nice to listen to, the problem is that there is just so much of it that it starts becoming dull to the ear.

@MrMetroid1998 no, I'm bashing this game becasue its controls are awkward,-and that means something coming from a huge fan of Metroid Prime who put over 500 hours into that game and that game had awkward controls- its graphics are good but they don't look "nice" and it makes the game feel empty/boring, I shouldn't even need to bring up the story, you say you played though the game, you should be aware of the problems. I think that covers enough problems/I can't fit any characters.
I'm one who's been known not to play games because I like to play games, but play them because I like the story. I will buy a game with terrible gameplay soley if it has a good stroy. (Lame, I know.) With other M, I don't have a wii, so I just watched all the cut scenes. So being a fan of video game storylines, here's what I think. It's good. It certainly kept my attention. Considering I expected a bombshell of a plot, I was quite suprised (More next post)

Other M isn't a bad game, sure it lacks in storyline and Samus is too sentimental in this one. I talked about the ability to change to 1st person in the middle of gameplay, like Other M did, but adicting the Scans, Visors, and the ability to walk. There are a lot of games that do that.
and maybe Mario in 1st person isn't a bad idea, with creativity they could create another successfull mario franchise
@erickvso have to disagree. Never had anything against Metroid Prime, but I wanted Other M to be an escape from the 3D FPS metroid that's become more dominant, since I'm more of a fan of Super Metroid, Fusion, etc and want to see more 2D games

if you think about it the sentament of samus makes sense(btw, im not nintendo fanboy) she rarely talks so an inner monologue must take palce and if she doesnt talk then that mens tht she probable has a reason for not liking human contact. she's turned inward to flesh out her problems and thats what you dee in this game, on the outside shes still a cold killer nd i think its testment to her self controll how her personality showed so little during the rest of her life

looking back at it, metroid other m is not poorly written. in fact, it is beautifully written, the problem that is present is that it is over written. the dialogues and monologues are all well done and are actually nice to listen to, the problem is that there is just so much of it that it starts becoming dull to the ear.

@MrMetroid1998 no, I'm bashing this game becasue its controls are awkward,-and that means something coming from a huge fan of Metroid Prime who put over 500 hours into that game and that game had awkward controls- its graphics are good but they don't look "nice" and it makes the game feel empty/boring, I shouldn't even need to bring up the story, you say you played though the game, you should be aware of the problems. I think that covers enough problems/I can't fit any characters.

I'm one who's been known not to play games because I like to play games, but play them because I like the story. I will buy a game with terrible gameplay soley if it has a good stroy. (Lame, I know.) With other M, I don't have a wii, so I just watched all the cut scenes. So being a fan of video game storylines, here's what I think. It's good. It certainly kept my attention. Considering I expected a bombshell of a plot, I was quite suprised (More next post)

@TheRisky9 But I can certainly see why people didn't like it. Samus was very sedimental, which from what I understand is unexpected considering her other games. I liked it though. And Ridley, despite being her arch nemisis who destroyed her home and killed her parents, didn't feel like he added anything to the overall plot. He was just there because, well Samus is dealing with everything else in her past, why not this too?

Other M isn't a bad game, sure it lacks in storyline and Samus is too sentimental in this one. But I loved the gameplay, they should make another one like this, but adicting a killer storyline and a little bit of the metroid prime's mechanics, like the scans, visors and the abillity to play in first person if you want

@pcred566 well, Metroid in first person worked very well, didn't it? so does Other M's.
I talked about the ability to change to 1st person in the middle of gameplay, like Other M did, but adicting the Scans, Visors, and the ability to walk. There are a lot of games that do that.
and maybe Mario in 1st person isn't a bad idea, with creativity they could create another successfull mario franchise

@erickvso have to disagree. Never had anything against Metroid Prime, but I wanted Other M to be an escape from the 3D FPS metroid that's become more dominant, since I'm more of a fan of Super Metroid, Fusion, etc and want to see more 2D games
