Turkish Airlines outlook in 2012 - BBC Middle East Business Report

I still remember my turkish airlines flight it was globally perfect, just arrived from istanbul but this time with swiss which was good but not as good as TK and will be flying back in May on Alitalia which on past experiences i expect incompetent and bad service!

I just flown with them from MANCHESTER-ISTANBUL-ANTALYA return, from Manchester it was a brand new Boeing 737-900,what a beautiful plane it was,nice in flight entertainment and excellent food&beverage service all the way along. I have flown different airlines in Europe but I must say that Turkish Airlines far better than any other airlines in Europe in every aspect.

now its clear to me, why we cant understand their cabin crew & pilots..trouble starts from the leadership :)

@alvinkorkie Don't forget the airline does not operate the ground services! Once you're bag is checked in it's the ground services' responsibility to transfer it correctly to the air plane, and the same on arrival. TGS (Turkish ground services) operate at nearly all Turkish airports - And no I don't work for THY/Turkish Airlines - Just a very content frequent flyer

I have never experienced such bad service from an airline as I did with TK Airlines. More than a dozen passengers on my flight on the 6th January this year had their luggage lost. I thought this might be an isolated incident but it appears this is a major problem with the carrier. I posted a comment on Facebook and was shocked to see the number of responses from other travelers who experienced the same. BBC should do a follow up on this story and perhaps the picture will be different

@alvinkorkie I live in US and traveling Turkey frequently. I never experienced such inconvenience with THY. THY may not be the best for all but I am very happy about the service. I never disappointed.
