Nah this game aint hard if yer know how to play chess. its the same as chess. except for got devil speed ( Move 7 spaces) and Evil and chaos wave which allow u to attack further. think ur move carefully then move plan carefully

@xXRiekoRuzakiXx Well, alot of the classic engines don't need to die out. They should not die out.I personally, think many of the current advances are over-rated. A few revolutionary games are fun, but if you only want to deal with current technology, you end up with alot of crap.

Only big complaint is that despite letting you choose the MC's stats, you really don't have a choice since if you don't put virtually everything into magic you're just gonna get slaughtered by everything.

this game is friggin hard man. i JUST beat the Wendigo boss a couple of hours ago and i had to grind to level 10-11 til i could be him. seriously, dont take this game for granted or it will chew you up and shit you out

Please you ain't seen nothing yet! XD Wait till the fire guy! The game then starts thinking it'll be funny to throw in a twist half-way through a fight to make it twice as difficult... and then do it again! Anyway the fire guy will have you lying in a corner in the fetal position for three days before you can pick up the game again and start grinding... Only to find out you still can't beat him! Perseverance is the key! The game becomes a lot easier on New Game plus mode.

I've never really had a chance to get into the SMT series(other than the two Persona games), but having just gotten ahold of this game and started, I'm loving it so far.

I love that it feels like you're really interacting with the characters in it, and that your decisions actually matter. Too many games nowadays just hold your hand... >.>

@Lance1232, looking at the level of the MC (he knows a high level move and has ALOT of hp) they probably modified/put a code in the game to raise the level up, possibly so that its easier to play to the parts they want to showcase. There's no way you can even know the move the MC knows that early unless you use a code or do new game+

The only thing that makes me sad with many rpgs such as dragon quest series and this game is that you can't see your sprite or yourself attacking, the only reason the pokemon battles have done so well is because they show your sprites attacking. I hardly believe the battles would be intresting when you have just a name when you attack

Well i would say it's like the Megidolaon in the other SMT games.

It's basically a huge explosion of unresistable damage against the whole enemy group.

Costs a ton of MP/SP though.

This game is really good, but it feels kind of hard to be strategic at times. In quite a few battles I have fought, the middle enemy will guard, so the spell I used on that the enemy will hit an other enemy. It can be a bit annoying, but I deal with it.

Well, I got very lucky. I bought Nocturne and Digitial Devil Saga 1 and 2 for $160 at Christmas time, and they were all new on Amazon. I'd recommend going to Gamestop for Digital Devil Saga 1 because it is only $25. I think Digital Devil Saga 2 is a bit rarer, so look on Amazon I guess. That is where I buy a lot of games I can't find. Good luck to you! And Devil Summoner 1 is only $15 used. Gamestop used to have it new for $10, but I guess it went up in demand.

Also, if you are looking to get Persona 1 and 2, the first Persona is coming out to the PSP as a re-release and 2 should follow. Hopefully Eternal Punishment and Innocent Sin are both released, which are the two versions of Persona 2, one of which was never released here. Plus, the original copies of the Persona games are incredibly steep anyhow and I heard Persona 1 had a lot of problems.
