Just love this song, watched your  shared video many times here, thanks for sharing! I saw Shooting Star about 20 years ago at Memorial Hall in Kansas City KS Christmas season concert, they rocked us and I had a great time. They even did a couple of Christmas songs that night.

Shooting star rocks they used to play in cincinnati oh a lot back in late 70s and early 80s one of my favorites lots of energy.

there are simalarity's between kansas and shooting star kansas are from st joe,mo and topeka, ks/ and the guy's from shooting star are from kansas city, gary west's son wesley west went to my high school and was a year behind myself, i grew up hearing shooting star and they are an awsome band.

The only notable similarity to Kansas is that both bands had a violinist. Structurally, their music is very different. And lyrically, there aren't many similarities at all.

SS never agreed with the Kansas comparisons either. I know it bugged them because they said so (tactfully) on Rockline back in the day.

Personally, I like both bands equally. Apples & oranges.

(Note that my comments refer to the Gary West years of Shooting Start [the first 5 albums]). After that, I dunno.

THE most underated band of all-time. Excellent studio/albums and just killer live! I saw them for the first time at K-SHE/KWK Superjam at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. They were the opening act. And, after being followed by Judas Priest, April Wine, Sammy Hagar, and Journey, --- Shooting Star was ALL I could talk about.

Only saw them from this video when our area was first getting cable in 1979-80. My brother and I would stay up till 11:30 to see this half-hour show called "video jukebox." Killer tune! Went out and got the album. Just proves you can add strings and still rock.

I saw these guys in the 80s at the Indiana State Fair with Utopia Todd Rundgren. I heard that all their equipment was stolen after the show. Hope it wasnt true. I have always loved Shooting Star. The album cover from Haang on for tour life was great. Still have it.

OK, it sounds biased as I am from Kansas City, but as a fan of FM Radio in the late 70's, I thought these guys were as good as their AOR competition and certainly were a solid live band. I like a lot of their recorded work, but this first album didn't have a bad track on it and it made my friends and I proud that one of the bands we cranked up while partying were from KC. Definitely an underrated band in their time.
