I like the idea. Much cheaper than pocket wizards, but a little more bulk with the laptop there. And pocket wizards won't five you the preview, so you have advantages over the pricy PW's.
Just sayin'... there's no product called an iTouch. I don't know why people call the iPod Touch that, but they don't call the iPod Nano an iNano.... or an iClassic... or an iShuffle. Again, just sayin'.
Do this enough and the novelty will wear off. It is just easier to use Pocket Wizards with a pre-release cable.
The song and dance is fine if you have time to mess with a computer and setting all that up, but I've shot plenty of weddings to know that I don't have time to mess around with doing this, when I could be done with a simple PW combo.
Dave, your ideas/photos are memorable, what a great addition to your work. Keep up the great work. I'm glad it works with your Canons, wonder if it will work with other cameras in the future.... Will you be having time to do high school senior shots this summer?
