Can someone help me please?

lately whenever i try to launch steam on mac, it says "the application steam quit unexpectedly" I re downloaded the whole thing (including the games) and this worked. I realized that it only worked when i launched the game from my actual steam library. Not on my computer desktop.. Im not sure how to get to the library if it quits every time and i can't launch the games anymore..

can someone please help me :) thanks

Valve will release all their games for Mac and Windows simultaneously from now on and I bet that lots of publishers will do the same.

Mac market share is growing quickly and even though they only have 5-10% of the market, ALL Macs sold today (and in the last 3years) have a decent graphics cards capable of gaming.

Hopefully you are only going to have to buy the game once to play it on both platforms. I have a gaming PC and a MacBook and don't want to buy games twice.

Macs are expensive when compared to midi- or big-tower PCs, but Apple only offers all-in-one iMacs and the small-form-factor Mac mini.

No hardcore gamer in his right mind would buy an all-in-one but many "casual gamers" buy iMacs and would also like to play games without having to install Windows.

And MacBooks / MacBook Pros often end up in the hands of gamers. I'm currently waiting for the next generation MacBook Pros and will (most likely) buy one with gaming in mind.

i think there should be no reason why not. a PC should be operating within the self-contained "realm," of whatever Windows OS you have installed. thus all you might have to do is configure your net connection from within Windows. tbh tho i havent used Steam enough to know, but it is being appropriate for OSX so...

I'm not starting a flame war, but the reason I hate Apple is because they are the exclusive manufacterers of Apple products, thus making them a fuckload more expensive then they should be. Yes, pre-built PC's come with bloatware and suck ass, building your own gives you a top of the line PC for much cheaper. I have a Macbook, though, because most PC laptops suck balls.

Xbox has PC meant games. While PS3 has games that were meant for Consuls. Thats why the graphics look better on the ps3 and the ps3 exclusive games are better. While the 360 exclusive games look like an ordinary pc game

@accompare exactly what I usually do. every two years or so, I just rebuild my computer from the ground up anyways. very few if any minor upgrades like memory, or new video card. If I upgrade one piece of hardware, might as well upgrade it all.

steam on OSX was pretty exciting to hear and I cant wait for it. I hope valve's games run just as well on it as they do in XP on bootcamp.
