  • @ShaolinGurl Sticky hands are made from a different kind of polymer. Unfortunately, the glue slime will not work for this.

  • science bob where can i buy or find borax??

  • i made it

  • you can just use corn starch water glue and regular detergent

  • you no whats fun? making green pudding! i found it at walmart but if you want to you can just buy white pudding and dye it any color :p

  • I might make it red and put it on a sledge

  • @dialga0z borax is another thing used to make slime ( its basically powder soap detergent ) half cup glue, half cup water, 1-2 teaspoon of borax and stir for about 10 minutes. it can be found in any grocery store that sells washing machine detergent

  • Thanks bob:D

  • household hacker will copy this soon

  • Dear Bob the store bought liquid starches have formaldehyde, i want to make my own liquid starch, will this still make slime or is it the formaldehyde that bonds?

  • Lol your music sounds like it came from a spiro game

  • it's flubber

  • I want him to be my science teacher

  • do you have to put color for the slime and like your videos ^_^

  • is it toxic at all?

  • substitute liquid starch with detergent powder or liquid detergent or tide or borax

  • ew

  • can i use laundry powder to make slime?

  • cool

  • lol , we have people to clean xD

  • I love your video, and I am making slime for a little Science experiment at school, would there be any way for me to make it with Tide liquid ditergent?

  • @SmallworldsDuchess Nope, Borax and actual detergent are 2 very different materials. Have fun with the slime!

  • @ScienceBob Bob. When i ues the detergent (since, i don't have borax) and when i wash it. It still soapy..

  • @SmallworldsDuchess it will work but the lifetime of the slime will be just about 2 to one week depends on how you play with it and depends in room tempretature

  • @SmallworldsDuchess ARE YOU LIVE IN THE PHILIPPHINES

  • thumbs up if your gonna make a load of this and put black food coloring in it and put it on your body to be... venom!!!

  • Dear Science Bob, i have a question.

im 13 and i wanted to know what the starch is, is it just starch or can i use some other type of starch?

  • shutup you don't need borax is laundry deger!!

  • thanks alot! you helped me find a great project, any who; is slime supposed to be made with just water and starch or can it be just water?

  • You are better then Mr. Hyde :)

Thanks for making me interested in chemistry.

    Greetings from Norway, Bob!

  • i made the blob! and now its stuck to my hand.

  • i did this in my school :)

  • I just made slime at school today for a halloween lab.It was but I did it wrong.Still, the "slime" was still cool.

  • THIS IS SO AWESOME NOW THANKS TO YOU IF I EVER NEED HELP WITH SCHOOL STUFF LIKE SCIENCE FAIRS I COULD USE SOME OF YOUR IDEAS THANKS THUMBS UP.

  • I did this once... I believe the starch is a replacement for sodium tetra borate.

  • Will it harden?

  • If u just put water and glue and stir for a while without the starch would it be the same? And i can use what to replace the starch.

  • you can just use glue, water and borax

  • hi sience bob what shold i do too make it less Liquid and mor solid so i can play with it ?

  • @yoyo19985 You can adjust the amount of water to make it more or less watery - have fun!

  • i remember making this in 1st grade hahaha

  • @MegaNinja16 ikr

  • I remember making this for my old science teacher in 7th grade~

my teacher gave me his box of borax when we were done

  • In bology we use powder starch nd water nd food coloring nd it worked. We did this to see who the water molecules leave. When I put it on my hand it started to spread nd lose the water molecules. But after all of the water molecues are gone the slime is useless.

  • can you use clothes soap instead of starch?

  • in my classes, we would just mix water, food coloring and a whole lot of glue. we call it "gak"

  • You and BillyNye should make a collaboration

  • dude whats wrong with you

  • I mean Phoenix, AZ

  • Can you use spary starch, because I can't find liquid starch in pheonix, AZ

  • @ElMikito1996 A few people have told us that they have tried spray starch and it did not work well. Keep looking, the liquid version is out there somewhere!

  • @ElMikito1996 : I found it at my local Walmart.

  • were do u bye borax

  • can we use 3 drops of food coloring ?

  • I'm an adult, but I get a kick out of watching this guy. In a totally fun way. Watching him do these little experiments is totally entertaining. Sorry if that sounds rude, it's not sarcastic.

  • Think about this…… ScienceBob + Mythbusters + Through The Wormhole with Morgan Freeman = •_•???????

  • Hi, I Love watching your awesome videos but i have a question if thats okay.

what kind of dye did you use? (whats the brand name? and is it one of those egg coloring liquid dye's for easter?)

Thanks alot for this awesome method!

  • @Zalman15009 We used standard food coloring available at most grocery stores. Have fun making slime!

  • @ScienceBob thank you soo much!

  • @Zalman15009 omg i have thoes they work but u have to hamer it in small pieces like really small then put it in a bowl and add little bit of water and stir till all the small pieces r gone or smash it then u have green dye or what ever

  • do u need food coloring and can u use any kind of clorax

  • wow you do alot of amazing and cool science expirements

  • is it possible to make it with the powder kind of corn starch? if you do, what happens?

  • what other glue can you use

  • What kind of starch is it?

  • Why doesnt the glue stick to the inside of the bottle? IT DOES HAH!...... well it sticks to a cup....

  • me and my cousin made this. its not really slime its just big blobs.you can also bounce it like a ball.

  • no offence but that lady always says i dont know

  • i didnt hear her say ''I dont know'' once.

  • well she always seems like its dangerous and is doubting science bob

  • *would

  • Hi mcluigi117 - If you add more water it will be more "liquidy" but you will have to experiment a bit to get it right for you. I hope that helps. - Science Bob

  • thanks

  • If my mom saw me doing this she'd think im going to perform suicide mixing all those chemicals thinking im going to drink it.

  • preform? commit* lol

  • i did this in 6th gradeee

  • cool

  • BORAX?! can i use other brand?

  • Borax is not really a brand name, it is the common name for sodium tetraborate. Any kind of borax should work.

  • what department did the liquid starch be in???
