  • Perfeita essa música!

  • This is unbelievable.. Roy has a great voice. He will return to "doing what he does best" in no time. The future seems pretty interesting.

  • When I search for this band, videos of birth keep popping up lol

  • Roy S. Khan, no comment .

  • It made me cry, imagining what the girl went through. It made me wish to cut the man´s throath.

  • @stabnov Whatchu talkin bout? What man lol it's probably obvious.

  • @FlamingGamingLive Probably you didn't get the message these lyrics have underneath?

  • @Madeiras14 ... good point.

  • Roy his voice sounds beautiful.

  • What is wrong with the norwegians? They make insanely good music :)

  • 2 people must be retarded!

  • This is one of the best songs ever!!! Impeccable singing...

  • This is one of the best songs ever!!! Impeccable singing...

  • the two dislikes must be from someone who loaned some money from one of the band members and never got it back.

  • Beautiful... Khan singing ballad is so .... amazing. Don't you cry, Abandoned, House on a Hill, Wander...

    It makes you cry...

  • two dislikes...they better be some inteligent monkyes

  • no more child molestation...what a sorrow for a child soul.....

  • @Zimmermann177 Indeed, society must take conscience about an important issue like this instead of being hypocrit and turn their eyes to the other side, acting like everything was fine.

  • Fabulous piece. The emotion in his voice is just beautiful.

    -H-

  • Oh Gott ich würd seine Stimme immer erkennen...süß noch jung.......Khan

  • Best ballad in the 30-yrs+ history of Metal.

  • Fantastisk band, sang og vokalist. Definitivt blant top 10 vokalister.

  • 2 people must be gay

  • This reminds me on a warm summerday in Hollidays :-)

  • Somebuddy upload the longer version from Japan-only Parallel Minds CD. Please!!!

  • How i wish there was a 5th Conception album. it's been too long...

  • i cant stop listening to this song damn you roy! lol

  • hmmm and here i thought roy was the only one making kamelot a success, but kamelot songs are somehow more powerful.

  • wow ! I simply have no words ! this just Pure! no words can describe it !

  • com certeza a melhor !!

  • He surely is a fantastic vocalist. He's voice goes a lot higher in conception than it does in Kamelot. Am I the only one noticing that? Anyway it's a brilliant song.

  • @1teigan His highest note ever is probably in Lunar Sanctum, or in the live version of Fourth Legacy, that's Kamelot :)

  • @MrSilentDoubleA as far as I know he his highest note isn't lunar sanctum he reached higher I guess it was in "silver shine"

  • @000HaDeeL000 The one in Lunar Sanctum has lots of effects on it, so it's abit hard to hear what note it actually is, also, the live version of "the fourth legacy" (from greece, 2000) and solar serpent has some really high notes.

  • @MrSilentDoubleA At the end of silent godess he hits an high Eb5 in full voice. That's about the highest I've ever heard him sing.

  • I like this style more than kamelot this is more progressive. . . kamelot is awesome

  • "Silent Crying" and "Santuary" are my favorite Conception songs.

  • this song brings tears to my eyes....i love his voice both in conception and kamelot...

  • i seen these live in aprox 94/5/6 supporting skyclad at jb,s in dudley west midlands, fuckin awsum band live and ive got the album paralel minds on vinyl sumwere

  • Hi guys, if you like Roy Khan (and/or Kamelot) feel free to check my Kamelot bootleg, to see how he's doing (vocally) in the year 2010. Conception ftw!! - Best european progpower band ever.

  • its not bad but i dont know why khan sounds better with KAMELOT!!!!!

    KAMELOT RULES!!!!!

  • The reason is personal flavor, difference in sound quality and experience. In my opinion he was better in conception. But kamelot have now better quality in the recordings, not to mention these bands play totally different music. Both are good bands tho.

  • anyone think this song is about child molestation? Great song and singing

  • Yep. There's no doubt in my mind about that, but songs are meant to be interpreted on a personal level. Even though this particular song seems to be more clear. Brings me to tears man... damn good song.

  • @illuminati576 Sure it is, and very sad and sorrowful. Khan sound fantastic here.

  • This song is amazing

  • I love this song it is me its what I am.

  • You have to take into consideration as a man ages he can't hit the higher ranges vocally. A man also loses his ability to hear higher pitch sounds as well. He still has an amazing voice, he just can't hit the high end range he could in his youth. Don't get me wrong though there are always exceptions.

  • Actually not true...IF you take care of your voice very well, your range is supposed to increase a little as you get older until about age 50 or 55. You have to take very good care of your voice though.

  • ahh roy khan's vocal :)

  • This song made me cry. So beautiful. I

I think his voice is better now. Though he may not have the same range, he seems to have more control over his voice and the deeper vocals really fits in with the sound Kamelot have in my opinion. :)

Another song where he goes quite high is in The Fourth Legacy.

  • Would someone have a list of all Conception songs? I'm looking for one in particular. A ballad, but I can't recall how it goes. UGH.

    -H-

  • @ TmaadHMD's post

Could it be 'Hold On'? That's a ballad. :)

  • Thanks for your response. It's actually Sanctuary. It's a good one. "Glad people make you feel unsafe".

    -H-

  • I was shocked by vocals... It was Roy KHAN, definitely !!! Ballads suit him very well, everytime. Does anyone can tell me when did he belong Conception's vocalist and when he left it ?

  • their best song and one of the best metal ballads ever!!!respect

  • yeah, but not even in Nights of Arabia he sings this high.... and, it's their hardest song to sing...

  • "Wander" Kamelot

  • Roy Khan's voice seems so much higher in this than in any Kamelot song I've heard. Anyone know of a Kamelot song in which he sings like this?

  • dont you cry sounds like this

  • try epilogue

  • He sings this high a lot, but I think what's throwing people off is that here he's singing in a different style. A more metal-oriented vocal style, I think. Wheras with Kamelot, his higher notes tend to be more operatic.

  • Try to listen to "Mirror mirror", "Can you remember", "Don't you cry". Maybe, you'll find what you're needing.

  • bella =)

  • I've seen Kamelot live two times. If you ever get the chance, you have to go see them! They are fucking amazing live!

  • Im so glad i stumbled upon Kamelot 6 years ago, and then i found Conception Khans voice is amazing, and these 2 bands are my top 2 LOVE KAMELOT&CONCEPTION!

  • His voice is beautiful, but I have to say, its gotten a hundred times better since this song was recorded.

  • In what way his voice got better? With Conception he used all of his vocal range and that's better for me..

  • I think what was meant is that he uses his voice better. He fits it better to the music. Range, while important , is not everything. Control, technique, vibrato style, everything goes into telling how good a voice is. And Khan has gotten better at everything since then. His higher range dropped a bit (or at least, he doesn't use it), but his lower range expanded.

  • Possibly the most emotionally moving song ever created by man, period.

Roy Khans' voice is musically perfect, in every way. The Eighth wonder of the world, if there ever will be.

  • @ChymeraxeSOH I soo agree with you. These lyrics are so Touching.

I just feel sorry that I got to discover Conception AFTER I found Kamelot :S but a great voice will always be a great voice. He's got a Gifted Talent, no one else can say the same. This man was touched by an Angel himself!

  • so sad, so beautiful, just amazing

  • Una de las mejores canciones que he escuchado. Muchas gracias por esta melodia sensacional.

  • Me encanta la cancion y sobre todo si esta cantada por Roy Khan

  • conception were far beyond their times and to me they're the most interesting metal band of the last 30 years together with queensryche and fates warning

  • It's really beautiful and calming

  • this song is awesome!

  • just beautiful

  • @skyfly78 He was in conception before he wa sin kamelot. His voice sounds younger because he was younger,

  • I know he was in Conception before...have I said something different? :)

  • masterpiece!

  • i like kamelot better, but thats just my two cents! conception is good though!

  • agree, good but not as good as Kamelot

  • Kamelot is very awesome. I agree with you.

  • for me conception was greater than kamelot, as much as love kamelot I love conception. Didn't Conception members go on to form Ark with Jorn Lande?

  • Whoa, Khan doesn't sound a whole lot different (still hitting those high notes) but the music is completely different than Kamelot.

  • Is that Khan from Kamelot? It sounds like him, but it sounds too young. He wasn't in metal until Kamelot. That is what he said anyway. Did he do this during early Kamelot?

Does anyone know where to find him in an opera? He says his Opera voice is mega different from his metal voice, and I want to hear it.

  • Yes,he's Roy Khan.

He joined Kamelot while Conception's project was ending in 1997.

  • I heard Conception reunited but Khan agreed to still go on with Kamelot as well

  • didn't the group go on to be known as Ark? with Jorn Lande. that was one monster group.

  • I truley don't know, I just read on wikipedia that they reformed recently

  • No they just reformed for one quick tour. They are not getting back together to make new music, or at least nothing has been said about them making new music.

  • he did no opera. he only trained. he never actualy preformed

  • Conception did a few shows together in 2005 but that's it for know, Khan is concentrating on Kamelot. I know Tore went on to create Ark but i'm not sure if the others did or not.

  • @ZaXo00 I too would love to hear his Opera voice. Please ZaXo00, if you know where or how, please post something.

  • She lays her head on her pillow says her prayers with no sound there's a shadow by her window telling her there'll be no one else to know Silent crying for a childhood gone by she's slowly dying with the secret she hides close to her heart...
  • you can find complete song's lyrics on the right top of this page by clicking on "more information" ;)

  • great song

  • What a beautiful song! OMG, I want those Conception CD's so badly.

  • Amazing band, you definatly need to get all their albums.
