  • Please lvelasquez,i need help.I'm in my 6th week and only gained an inch. I just need to know, 1 what was ur starting vertical, and 2 where is ur vertical now and in which week. Thx

  • How tall are you? (just asking)

  • @luissm016 5'8

  • @lincolnvelasquez thats a good inprovement, i startered air alert in monday and i see that it reaslly works, do you think that ill touch rim in like 2 or 3 weeks im 14 and 5'10?

  • bro how tall are you? im turning 15 in like 2 weeks, will it help me or fuck me up?

  • @flippyfloppy03 it will help you alot BUT you have to follow air alert 3 exactly as it says and if you want it for free i can give it to you

  • Can something hapen to my knees if I do air alert

  • can you start with air alert 3 or do you have to start with with 1, 2?

  • Im 5'6 and i can slap my palm on the backboard... I havn't done air alert for 2-3 years.. do yal think i can increase my vert just a lil more?

  • ok so i am a complete tard and ddnt read the chart properly and did week 3 when i was on week 2 (week 3's exercises wer rite underneath week 1) and i think i overexerted but is it ok to do more reps for AA?

  • The first 2 workouts hurted like hell afterward I couldn't hardly walk cause I wasn't used to working out but on the 3rd I wasn't hurting at all now I go to week 2 and ill see if I gain results cause I still haven't yet . Anybody know when youl start seeing results?

  • im currently stuck on week 5.

i have also been dunking since week 3.

after week 3, the Calf Raises and the Burnouts have been extremely hard for me. I have experienced pain in my ankles after each set but i have proceeded my workout.

maybe u r not familiar with it, but calf raises and burnouts create microfractures and distorsions in your ankles and bones if u do not stretch and warm up before doing the exercises. today i have twisted my ankle, broken my legs and injured my ligaments. so WARM UP

  • @FireHunter0 yup always warme up

  • @FireHunter0 how tall are you and how much do you weigh. and did u return to doing it

  • @ducksman1 height:199cm(6.53ft) weight:97Kg(213.8lbs)

i havent returned to doing the program mainly because i lost my motivation, because im kinda back to what i had been before doing the AA3 thru weeks 1-5, after my injury healed (meaning, i have lost some of the progress because of my injury).

i also gotta say that i must have been doing the exercises at least a bit wrong, for i think that its seriously hard to perform them perfectly, maximizing the efforts you put on the focused muscles.

  • @FireHunter0 im also 6'5 but i weigh 196 and my vert is awful, mainly because i have been exteremly over weight my whole life until now and a few months ago i injuried my mcl so im still recover but by February i plan to start AA2

  • that is nice man. have you finished aa3 yet .

  • what days do you do air alert 3 even weeks on is it tuesday wednesday and thursday?

  • You dont gain in the first week. The program is not designed to do that, bullshit.

  • Come on! i see youtube videos of guys in week 2/3 able to touch the rim i'm week for and i do not notice any development and i'm a 5'5 foot with 14 years old.

  • do the exercise on a exercisce mat!

  • pulsuhundur. i am 5'5" and 13 and can touch above the white stripe on the backboard. about a 30'' vert without ever using a program like this

  • @bballplaya123678 what white stripe are you refering to ?

  • your vert isnt gonna magically shoot up after a couple of weeks the key is to stick to the program and if you stay dedicated it will work for you im in week 3 and im seeing good results im really close to rim

  • dam lol is hard when u get addicted u know what im sayinf. but alright better for good than bad.

  • yo bro i got a question how did u rehab ur ankle?

  • take a deep rest. for about 2 weeks. stop doing exercises etc. you'll eventually recover fast.

  • I'm like 5'8" and i reach up to the middle of the net on a 10ft rim. I'm on my first week of Air Alert III and seeing improvement already. Awesome program:D

  • improvements after 1 week already? special guy. as u posted this 5 months ago, how many inches did u gain?

  • yeah i gained like 1 or 2 inches on the first week, but i quit the program cause my knees started to hurt... i'm just doing calf raises every day now, and of course playing basketball.

  • hey, just subscribed! Way to go, I am on week 3...

Keep us posted alright! Take good care of your calfs.

  • hey dude im just here to tell you to keep it up and dont give up, i went on it but i gave up on week 4 lol, im gonna start it again, and after 1 week after my legs were healed again i saw good results, so this means that dont worry if you dont see results in between the program when you finish the program and get rest then your vertical will be amazing good luck ;)

  • real good, did you do the exercise every day or three days a week ?

  • btw air alert doesnt work well!

    sorry its too late!

  • DO NOT USE AIR ALERT IT FUCKS UP UR KNEES BIG TIME pylometrics are fine but you need to go every other day and mix in some weight lifting on ur quads and hamstrings. AA works but after a while ur knees hurt to much to jump

  • @Spec5ial5k5 did u do air alert on a soft surface, cuz i kno alot of pepl who did on a hard surface and it fucked ther knees

  • Pedo! stay away!

  • k thanks cause its gonna be here bout a week gonna start it on a Monday so the weeks don't get messed up

but is a yoga mat good for doing the excises on

  • hey lincolnvelasquez iv seen post bout ppl get injurges useing AA is this true is it b/c they dont use padding and they dont strecth plus massage there knees just wanna know before i start also is a yoga mat good for the padding for all the exercises

  • stretching is very helpful when your doing AA.. this is to prevent you from tendinitis and other lower body injuries.. Massage the kneecap before using AA to prevent injury.. i got my injury from playing basketball without adequate stretching. i suffered from twisted ankle.. and after that. i always stretch to prevent those injuries again..

  • lincolnvelasquez

you have a really high vert but your jumping to far away from the rim this happened to me to till my coach showed me what i was doing wrong get closer to the rim so you do a vertical jump now a horizontal jump this helped me rebound and jump a bit higher

  • Thanks a lot man.. i dont know but i am comfortable jumping like yo see here in my vid. but i'll try your suggestion. Thanks again man.

  • Before I started Air alert, I made sure I took all measures to prevent knee injury and such, these steps is what I've "discovered" and implemented. Should anyone find this "steps" to be "bullshit", please enlighten me if there's a better way? I've just finished my first week of air alert 3 and I feel great! :P Hope this helps you.

  • Sure it helps..:)

  • man my legs still hurt after the first 3 days

  • To icey, did you do the following?

    1. Warm up properly and ensure that it is long enough, and in addition, make sure to massage your knees properly (search videos on how to)

    2. Do not do air alert on concrete ground, do it on either shock absorbant mats, grass, sand. Wearing shoes helps loads (in case you are doing it indoors)

    3. Warming down and massage those knees again!

  • did AA3 help you

how long did it take to see the results

  • I am only about to start on my second week so I can't tell you now.

You shouldn't be asking this kind of questions as results will not IMMEDIATELY show. AA clearly states that for the first 5 weeks (if I'm correct) your vertical will decrease, but it'll sharply pick up after that.

I'm sure that if you work hard, the results will clearly show.

  • just do it. it will take effect as time goes by. dont be in rush. it's not like you'll see the results in just 2 or 3 months.

it may take you a year to see real result..

    i mean REAL.

  • like the end:D

  • nice man;)

  • vertical jump bible yo it is amazing and trust me bro air alert really does work at the beginning but then the reps become stupid like tehy have you do way to much and vjb is well structured w/ the workout plans and ill give it 2 u if you want and we can compare results... trust me vjb will help you reach 40 inches and beyond b/c there are so many workouts

  • x 2 on what beyondlimit said here... too much fucking reps...

  • nice vid i did air alert and gained 4 inches in a month! but lost it i think b/c of muscle fatigue=(

now im doin vjb if you want 2 do it let me know and ill get it for you

    good stuff
