  • So sad that Mad TV dropped and we're stuck with Saturday Night crap. How many more years before SNL becomes funny again?

  • FUCK ZOLOFT!

Zoloft is the reason i had to spend 6 days in a mental hosptial back in February (2011). It caused me to have Intrusive Violent Thoughts last December, which NEVER happened to me before i started it. Now i have to take 2 different medicines to fight it..... sad isn't it?

  • Sertraline is zoloft. I had a coworker on Paxil before. I think he had ADHD.

  • Someone put the audience back in their cages I can't hear the song.

  • Dexadreane is the same as zoloft

  • @superbooje

    SWEET

  • That must be Dr. Herwitz.

  • I take Fluoxiteene!

  • they chew the pills lol

  • that was genius

  • ain't that the truth?

  • i take pills for depression and shit and i find this to be a awesome skit

  • Funny but sad cos we know it's tragically true :(

  • FUCK YOU ZOLOFT!

You caused me to start having intrusive violent thoughts!

  • @Serpico261 Yeah. Why?

  • @PS3andHeavyMetalfan1 it just sounded like a joke, they way you wrote it down

  • @Serpico261 It's not a joke. it really did happen! Believe me!

  • @PS3andHeavyMetalfan1 i have no problems to believe that. Every person can react differently to medication..i would assume that you had these symptoms in the beginning of the threatment?

  • @Serpico261 Yes. I was on Lexapro for a year but when I find out it wasn't doing much for me anymore, so my doctor switched me to Zoloft, i took it for 3 or 4 days because by about the 2nd day i started noticing those unusual thoughts and images and i couldn't stop them regardless on how much i tried, on the 3rd or 4th day the thoughts stopped late in the day as if the medicine wore off. So yes, Zoloft permanently screwed up my head.

  • @PS3andHeavyMetalfan1 it is actually normal that existing symptoms can get really worse in the beginning, cause the brain metabolism is not used to the chem. Thats why its quiet hard to bear such psychological stress. For some people Zoloft has mild side effects, for some it doesnt work or is simply not effective enough. And also some react with hard symptoms in the beginning, some not.

"Zoloft permanently screwed up my head." Are you saying that you think zoloft has caused permanent damage?

  • @Serpico261 I never had any violent thoughts until i started taking it. Now i have to take several different medicines to prevent the thoughts, so yes it has.

  • this isn't funny for one thing this is just being mean to kids with add and 2 im on methylphenidate myself and im not crazy lie that little girl

  • @14lanicup it's funny as hell actually. Learn to laugh at yourself and others. It's fun ;)

  • @SoopaAhsomeDAB no no no you need to learn to be serious with this kind of topic yes we can laugh at ourselves but not with something like this

  • 30 years ago we didn't have to dope up the kids because we had school sports, phys-ed, shop class, afterschool jobs, etc.

Now, schools got rid of all the trade-school programs, cut funding for phys-ed, and can't seem to afford any sport but basketball. There's nowhere for hyperactive kids to put their energy.

  • @MondoBeno so true

  • What is wrong with having ADD God and this vid sucks my balls

  • @REDPEN765 noo nothing is wrong with ADD you're special for having it and blah blah blah blah *politically correct bullshit* blah blah and its not your fault and blah blah blah.

  • The kid in the middle is not ADD, he's Asperger. What these kids need is to be made to march up and down the hall between every class period; that'll get out their frustration.

  • i have anxiety i take pills but still this is pretty funny

  • @piggyfriendly

I have anxiety I bought bars and a pistol.

  • @piggyfriendly I have anxiety too (and ocd, panic disorder,..) and I take prozac, tenex, klonopin and seroquel for all that too! And I agree this is funny, and its not making fun of mental illness...

  • Mad is genius! Poor kids though. They're the result of undereducated, misinformed, overworked, underpaid OR overpaid, exhausted, stressed parents who don't spend enough quality time with their kids to discipline, love AND get to know them. They'll do anything doctors, psychologists, AND the media say. They neither have the time NOR the patience to try and fix the problem personally. Just another byproduct of a broken system. Sad really.

I capped the conjunctions! Thanks schoolhouse rock!

  • @quietsalmon Thank you for the OR overpaid. Someone had to point out that the rich put their children on those pills as well.

  • The sad thing is the thing about this song is that in most cases it's true about the parents "pushing the pills just to keep you quiet"

  • The sad thing is, that really is what a lot of public schools are like, though that really depends on who runs the school, as well as the teachers.

  • This is Fuckin Genius! I grew up watching the real ones int he 70's..This is Hilarious!!

  • Its funny because it's true. I remember when I used to be doped up on ritalin, good times, good times...... not really

  • "funny how i know?"

I'm assuming that's meant to be an insult.

In case you haven't realized obviously pretty much everyone watches TV, TV=commercials, I have seen paxil commercials so yes i do know what it is for. and one of my aunts used to take it. what's "funny" about me having an aunt with depression?

  • all schools are the same. but in public school, parents dont have to pay for their kids to go get fucked, wasted or high.

  • paxil makes you sit still?

lol thats not an ADHD medicine, it's for anxiety and depression... and fuck no it doesnt make you sit still it makes you act like you're on crack, it does the complete opposite

  • It's funny how you know! lol

  • @xxxabc123xx medications that work on people who have adhd to stay still have a different effect (often the opposite one) on people who do not take the drug.

  • @net28573 lol im lost that was a couple months ago i tried reading it but youll have to refresh my mind what do you mean lol

  • @xxxabc123xx adhd medication doesnt affect people who odnt have it the same way.

  • @xxxabc123xx I guess it works different depending on the person. I used to take Paxil and it just made me feel numb. I did not even want to talk sometimes simply because I felt so relaxed.

  • Methylphenidate is what i just ate!

Works for you, why don't you take two.

    WOO HOO HOO HOOOO!!

    haha XD

  • It's so sad that some retarded parents actually shove pills down their kids' throats just to make them shut up. If you can't handle your child, use a condom next time.

  • Ahh I'm on Strattera for ADHD medication. Lol

  • Me too, they don't like giving the "hard" ADD drugs to teens (ex. Desoxyn, Ritalin, Adderall, Concerta, Dexedrine) because "we tend to "abuse them."

  • adults these days are so stupid doping their kids up like that. thats how kids have always been. they grow out of it they don't need that crap to screw them up for good.

  • So much for "just say no"

  • lol my social studies teacher showed this tro us public school does rock

  • I find it funny that they pour stuff on the tankers

  • imitatable

  • I think Frank Caliendo is doing the male singing but it sounds a lot like Seth McFarlane doing a Peter Griffinish voice too

  • ADD is caused by parents who dont discipline their kids.

which is why Im so quiet...

  • Because YOU HAVE ADD XD

  • what about my dumb fuck?

    :D

  • This is funny even with my ADHD.

Well, the meds are wearing off..

  • So true... Awesome video.

  • i used to take pils but i dont any more...i dont think they help kids :|

  • oh come on now im an add adult and the problem back when i was in school is they did not study correct dosages for kids i really focus better on my adderol its not just a myth like most ultra right winged conservatives believe we are all individual humans our brains dont function like everyones

  • I'm 20 years old and was put on several medications for adhd when I was in school, but one thing I hated about them, was I wasn't me. Yes I did my work, my grades improved and all, but while everything my teachers and parents wanted improved, I lost a part of me. While I was on meds I changed everything about me constantly to please those around me. Now I can't have a healthy relationship because I still try to change. I'm against meds for add/adhd, they can really hurt people psychologically.

  • there are all different kinds of medication for ADD OR ADHD its too bad that some doctors dont take the time to individually study each child for strength of medication we are all guinea pigs

  • yea, i stopped taking pills after the trazodone i took made me lose the feeling in my legs.... damn doctor upped my dosage too much

DOWN WITH THE PILLS, UP WITH THE CRAZY XP

  • lmao yeah its awsome to be crazy cause then if your not people will think your an alien..or is it the other way around o.o

  • Ritalin will FUCK YOU UP! I should know. I had it for A.D.D. But I'm doing a hell lot better, now. I've gotten to the point where I don't need medicine. This is funny, though.

  • That's a laugh.

  • this could encourage someone

  • Wonderful technique for conformity. Anyone whose mind works differently or thinks outside the box, just give them a pill and they'll soon become a productive member of society who follows authority and never dreams of anything more. Start them early, so it's harder for them to get off the drug. If only we'd thought of it sooner, there'd have been fewer starving artists and hippies around.

  • Yeah, we don't need any more Bill Gates, Benjamin Latrobe's in the world. Let's all just march in a straight line and follow authority.

  • @451ianDragonist Yep, the miracle of synthetic pharmaseuticals.

  • @451ianDragonist And fewer engineers and fewer astrophysicists, and fewer quantum physicists, and fewer photographers, and on and on. Yeah, great idea because I would love to live in a world with stagnation and zero innovation. Oh HEY, we have that now! No wonder the Japanese and Chinese are miles ahead of America in technology. Just keep on your studies kid and soon you'll be pushing the broom just like your old Pop.

  • @randomunavailable he was kidding

  • @randomunavailable What more innovation could you want, we'll have phones that can wipe our asses in 5 years, we have high defenition LCD televisions, cars that can give you directions to your bathroom, Blu Ray, popular music done by computer modified voices, Red Light Photo Enforcement, and so on. Good news for you, we are heading toward a bleak, dull, Jetson like society as we speak..

  • the joke at the end wrecked the humor for me, when they make a point of making it sound like the parents are forcing the drugs into the schools... anyone who has actually dealt with public schools knows the teachers want to dope up any kid who is even a little deviant, & teachers will just push, push, push... I even know one mom who lied & told the school the kid was drugged, then told the kid shape up or you WILL BE ... haha worked too.

jokes are funniest when they're true

  • ah i'm peeking!

    LOL

  • Take away the laughing machine, and it'll be perfect.

  • It's a good laugh machine though. Not like some shows with the same laugh every time.

  • it is Fun

  • i remember having to watch the real version of the in like 4th grade.

  • Lol Fuckin funny when the mom shoves the pill down the kids throat.

  • LOL DYSFUNCTION JUNCTION!

  • GOD THIS IS GOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like the part when the boy says: MOMMY, I DONT WANNA DO MY HOMEWORK. I WANT TO WATCH TV!

  • Yeah you have to be a sucky parent to just throw pills at your misbehaving kids because you don't know what your doing and whined up on maury or NANNY 911

  • LMAO XD!!!!

By the way, the person below fails and can't take a fucking joke.

    V

  • you got that right

  • I agree, but Im Candadien and most here are just as bad.

  • The Conductor is not wearing his hat.

  • This song sounds like my little brother ^^ lol

  • they shouldnt make fun of this

  • why? kids dont need pills they need a good teacher to help them focus! Im ADHD and my lowest over-all grade is a 93%

  • yea

  • I just make sure my son eats right and limit the junk. It works. No drugs for my boy!

  • I have to be doped up every day.^^I'm high when I go to school. XD

  • LMAO!!!!!

  • woohoo hoo hoooo!

  • haha!

  • 1:22-1:39 cracked me up omg

    and this is hilarious!

  • Welcome to the Brave New World!

  • SO true!

  • The conductor looks like Ralph Wiggum.

  • Is that Seth McFarlane [sic?]?

  • god I started laughing at :14 and couldnt stop

  • i dont even get vacinations

  • ah over medication....

  • these drugs were designed for lazy ass parents who won't take the time to actually parent their kids! QUICK FIX!

  • Part of that is true but the other part is teachers, social workers and board of education tell parents that there kids have ADD and this is the way to fix it. Especially if you live in a time where there's no computer to research this. Back in the day they call the national guard if they thought you didn't play like the other kids "Ah Oh that kid is playin by himself must be something wrong at home, Call the social worker!"

  • quit drugging the damn kids!

  • I take Aderall and paxil. I can find humor in this cause hey its funny when you think about it.

  • MEPROBAMATE IS WHAT I JUST ATE.

  • Stupidmonkey666 spelled Methylphenidate wrong.

  • I didnt just take Ritlain (methlyphenidate) I just took a miltown (meprobamate) myself. I also took zoloft, Risperdol, Ativan, had some coffe and smoked a couple of jays this morning. Yes I do alot of drugs not really compared to some I know.

  • this is a cool song.

  • Anyone under 18 shouldn't be on antidepressants. I was on zoloft when I was 9 and it really screws with your head!

  • im on zoloft

  • that's so sad. this whole society is non-functional.

  • everyone always has a headache

  • Well, at least the pharmacuetical companies are getting rich off of drugging the kids these days. What really boggles my mind is how parents go blindly along with this crap.

  • This is funny! Except that I used to take Aderall, so I'm super offended by this -.-"

  • One or the other. Pick.

  • Ohh my gosh. Brain drugs are SOOO wrong. They tell us not to do drugs in health, then they turn around and "deal" us all this nasty shit for imaginary diseases. Fucking authority. They did this to me and then everyone thought I was stoned and they were giving me drug tests, when really it was my perscriptions that were fucking me up!! Message here is, dont do drugs kids. Especially not drugs your mom or you psychirtrist give you. Youre better off with street drugs (except heroin, dont do that!)

  • What's methylphenidate? Is that a stimulant? Cuz I take Concerta which is Adderall on PCP. WHOOHOOHOO HOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • You know how people now have learning disorders like A.D.D and A.D.H.D....in the old days when you couldn't learn...you was just stupid.

  • and if you were lucky, your family wouldn't stick you in a mental hospital and have you sterilized

  • I have a friend who disabilities and he thinks its so funny and LOL. He still laughing at it today.

  • 1:25 WTF?! LOL.....

  • Okay, I respect the users here that are giving off lectures on parental guidance and meds for personality-flawed children. Everyone else who says this video is a bastardization to the original Schoolhouse Rock really ought to have a good laugh for once in their boring lives! It is called a satire, not some propaganda used to cut the throats of your childhood!

  • really if you notice that all of these "issues" have developed in the last 10 years or so. Really it's more like being a hypocondriac. It's been proven that most of these diagnoses are not accurate, and notice how it seems as if everyone has ADD and shit, it's a fad almost, and that it's more of the parents that want their children to "behave" when it's more like sit there and be shells of humans, it's the laziness of the parents, not a horrible mental disease.

  • Psychology is based on absolute quackery. Any honest Psychologist or Psychiatrist who is honest will tell you that there are no cures or no effective diagnostic methods in the fied. Finding honesty in psychology is about as common as and honest politician. In other words, they medicate and then determine whether or not it has been effective by the outcome. However as anyone who has ever had any experience with someone who has been medicated with psychotropics will tell you, ir rarely works.

  • really?

  • that was really funny..but i do see how people get offended by this.

  • I Know!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL

  • I have a doctor like this.

  • I never found Schoolhouse Rock educational. After watching it I couldn't remember a damn thing.

I learned about the environment in the 1980's from watching the news, reading National Geographic, and watching Wild America.

  • And on the other end...I learned A LOT form Schoolhouse Rock and still remember many of the tunes and skills...so I guess it depends on how we retain information....of course I am also of the PBS generation of the 70s and early 80s...the audience that most of this was aimed at.

  • Same here. I learned a lot from Schoolhouse Rock in the early 80's.

  • America om drugs, oh yeah. From illegal ones to food we are all hook on something. Reminds me of the episode of the series of parallel universes in which the characters find themselves in an earth in which the DEA enforces mood drugs.

  • Sliders

  • Thanks for the name of the show, this particular episode was unusually chilling despite the often B-Movie scripts if often had.

  • The title I think was... Just Say Yes!

  • Or It Could Be Dysfunction Junction (Everyone who watched it knows that). You're so funny!

  • That's a little too close to reality--Ritalin junkie at age six here--luckily my parents got me off of it a couple years later--Doctors really do just keep upping the kids dosage

  • Heyyy I take Adderall. It's caused me to have heart trouble, insomnia, exsessive sweating, and manic depressison. =D

(Taken it for 5 years... Bad idea. I hate my doctor...)

  • and your a total dumbass. anything else u wanna add??

  • This problem is worse than most of you know. SSRI drugs in particular (Paxil, Zoloft, Luvox, etc.) can cause a side-effect known as "hypermania" (usually from improper use or withdrawal).

Hypermania is like megalomania pumped up on refined Kryptonite-based steroids produced at LexCorp on "Smallville." You remain technically sane, but you lose your conscience and feelings of attachment to loved ones. Indeed, such feelings are often REVERSED.

  • Most people know that SSRI antidepressants have been linked to suicidal thoughts and actions in young people. What the pharmaceutical companies have managed to keep mostly under wraps so far, though, is HOW youngsters in the throes of hypermania often commit suicide: THEY TAKE *OTHER PEOPLE* **WITH** THEM!

Yes, I'm talking about the rash of school shooting SPREES (multiple victims, not 1-on-1 murders that just happen to take place at a school) that begin Feb. 2, 1996 in Moses Lake, WA.

  • Prior to that time, a school shooting spree might happen once a DECADE or so, and usually were perpetrated by older people. But after then, the rate skyrocketed until, a mere few years later, there were two days a mere two days apart that EACH had MULTIPLE such incidents!

Jonesboro. Pearl. Littleton/Columbine. Virginia Tech. And many, many more. In many of these, we KNOW FOR A FACT that at least one of the perpetrators was on SSRIs at or shortly before the time of the incident.

  • How many of the modern rash do we know for a FACT were NOT by perpetrators on SSRIs? NONE. ZERO. NADA. ZILCH. Not ONE KNOWN COUNTER-EXAMPLE! Now, granted, this is largely because medical records are sealed, but the number we DO know about is WAAY beyond what mere chance would produce, even if ALL of the unknowns were SSRI-free counter-examples (which I HIGHLY doubt).

Note also WHERE these incidents happened: SMALL DOWNS and SUBURBS. UPPER MIDDLE CLASS or higher. E.g. Littleton, NOT Denver.

  • Its so true, that I now need to hid in the corner for there days.

  • 1:25 WTF?! LOL.....

  • ppl with add and adhd usually live good lives!

  • This video is so... true! I still resent my parents for making me take that crap when I was in junior high school. I was one of the first in my school because my parents worked in the industry so they thought they knew what was right. I'm glad I was smart enough to stop taking it on my own....

  • how much do you get paid for writing this crap

  • Do you think this sketch hits the nail on the head?

  • I read one of the ADD support websites, where one couple got into trouble with child protective services after the father used an "old Fashioned method" to rid the son of a long time problem. Irony was it worked. Society's point seems to be that you can't correct their behavior, but Shire, Squibb, and Merck can, for a price.

  • Ritalin=speed? I don't know. Adderall is a sced.2 controlled substance, because it is a mix of two different types of amphetamines. If anybody wants it, you need an ADHD diagnosis, good health insurance, and you have to get a prescription when you run out.

  • Give me some adderral. Please?

  • Everyone's talking of the adverb one.. What kind of vid is that or where can I see it?

  • How about school lunch (UA2F1DguUQU) and substitute teacher ones?

  • You know, the irony of the use of Ritalin and other such drug
