Great generation of music!!! Man I miss the 90's. Grunge is the best...pearl jam, stp (my first tapes), nirvana, A.I.C, soundgarden, mad season, etc. It would suck to be a teenager today, listening to Jarod Beiber.
I was just 8 years old when I hear them at first time.... I was born in 1984 fuck man all the good stuff that I have missed... I got this feeling too...
well i was born in 1990, and since the first time i heard pearl jam or any grunge i couldnt stop listening to it such good music. The only thing i feel bad is that i wasnt old enough to enjoy it when it was brought to the world...now everywhere i look people are listening to all this crap music from today. Im from brazil and its so fucking hard to find someone that can realy apreciate good music like this. I hope my sons hear this and be as amazed as i was when i first heard it.
@Staubzs i was born in 94 and i know what you mean man i hate this feeling of having missed out on such a great musical generation... all this pop and rap crap they play on the radio nowadays is nothing compared to this man
@Staubzs hey mate I´m from Brasil too and i know what you are talking about. Here is just the fuking shit funk and axé..may one day it may end and good song will resurge again...I hope.
@Staubzs It makes me happy to hear you say that! I was born inn 77 and grunge/ Alternative was born during my hay day! It's still my favorite genre. There hasn't been a movement of really good music since. I still listen to P.J, A.I.C, C.O.C, Soundgarden & all that stuff. Ive seen Pearl Jam live a few times and Soungarden once...Amazing live acts! If you haven't already, you should add Bob Dylan, Neil Young, John Lennon and other good old music to your collection. Keep jammin!
@Staubzs Same here, though I was born in 1992 and am from California, but it's amazing how people can have the same story when they think they're all alone.
@Staubzs The 90's were an amazing time to be alive & to realize it. Even though you weren't there in body; by reading your comment, you were there in spirit brother.
@Staubzs I was Born 6 yrs after u I know Right I feel the exact same way. Todays music is talentless machines make music now and autotune voices Its sad How people just throw music together into a big pile of crap, Instead of taking time to learn to sing, instruments etc. dont worry hopefully someday people will realize that realying on technology is redicoulous( Hopefully_. ) I surely wont be playing songs from now in front of my future children!

@Cooliepops don't like my bf where the fuck did that com from? And just because you've been playing music for 25 years doesn't mean anything. And is jr the best thing you can call me? @Tale077 Lol so once again I'm stupid and 12 because I'm not an Vedder fan? Please try and not to be so offended when somebody disagrees with what you think is great. One's musical tastes will never be something you can win an argument about. Have a nice day.
No, since you state that you are 25 with a simple internet age formula we can deduce that you are twelve. Cause nobody gives a fuck how old are you unless you are a teen. Have a nice day. :D <3 :*

GREAT song. Eddie Vedder & Chris Cornell both have such powerful voices. They sound amazing. I do think that Eddie Vedders voice has more clarity and richness to it.. Just my humble opinion. Outstanding song!!!
not really this song was unfoturnatly the last colabaration of Temple of the Dog due to disputes over lead vocals (chris Cornell, Eddy Vetter) go figure right lol the band seperated and formed 3 other bands Pearl Jam, SoundGarden, Mother Love Bone all great bands but loved them together more.
@tazdev2526 Pearl Jam, SoundGarden, Mother Love Bone all existed before Temple of the Dog. ToD was a side project by the members of these three bands.
@islandmonkey007 Actually, after mother love bone fell apart Cornell made temple of the dog, then after that pearl jam was made. No idea about soundgarden tho.
@cMfmNc You are correct about Temple Of the Dog being formed before Pearl Jam. It seems Pearl Jam was formed just weeks after Temple created their recording. Temple was created by Cornell during 1990 as a tribute to the lead singer of Mother Love Bone who died of a heroine overdose. Cornell was his roomate. Soungarden existed many years before TOTD and, obviously, so did MLB. For good info and timelines, look up Temple Of The Dog on Wikipedia. Cheers.
@islandmonkey007 Yea I don't know what was I thinking about not knowing if SG came before TOTD. Obviously couple of years before it. I'm not really much of a wikipedia believer, many people mess with the entries.
remember when MTV played music videos? and that was all they played? all day long and every day? those were the days. Then they invented trl and reality television and the rest is history. I think you can catch a half hour block of lame music videos one monday a month sometime between 3am and 5am.
Greenriver/Malfunkshun = Mudhoney and Mother Love Bone
Mother Love Bone = Temple of the dog
Temple of the dog=Soundgarden and Pearl Jam
Names that should be mentioned are Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard. They were in Greenriver=Mother Love Bone= Temple of the Dog=Pearl Jam.
SoundGarden may of been,As Chris Cornell had aready started the band, But Pearl Jam would not formed as Eddie meet Stone and Jeff and Matt Cameron throught Temple of the dog.
If there's one band out there that could save the entire music industry it's this legendary collaboration. If TOD ever released a second album i'd buy 9 copies just to support them.
@RoksBadly It would be awesome but at the same time what would be the point? The whole reason for this (great) album was as a tribute to Andrew Wood. Doing another would kinda spoil that idea. And I love this whole cd.
this song is a tibute to Andrew Wood and later Layne Staley abd Kurt Cobain. They gave us their all. May god bless them eternally for the beauty they created. It is not how long you live, but how much you live.
The first time I ever heard this song I was 6 years old. Up til then, I had listened to whatever my parents did, but this changed all that. Even then, I knew this was something big, and that this was the music I wanted to listen to and play. Awesome, life-changing song!
@singaporesling1017 fuk u singapore, no one cares about you pretending to be some music prodigy. i saw you when u were 6, you were walking around with your finger in your nose and poop in your pants. (p.s. great fukin song)
Cornell...ritorna sulla retta via....guarda quello che eri e che grandi cose hai fatto....non sputtanarti per qualche soldo in più....la musica fatta col cuore e col sudore...memoria di un passato non così lontano.....che bei ricordi...
maybe I'm wrong, but isn't it the first official music clip with Eddy? :D

Love this song.. History was made....

I always thought the lyrics were, "I'm going hungry," not, "I'm /growing/ hungry."
Huh.

If there's one band out there that could save the entire music industry it's this legendary collaboration. If TOD ever released a second album i'd buy 9 copies just to support them.
RoksBadly 1 year ago
