  • 15 people are not going hungry

  • Cool men, I was Born in 1980 and I survived the whole 90's, Temple of the dog is a tribute to Andy Wood singer From mother love bone also a good friend from Chris Cornell (he wrote Say hello 2 heaven y Reach down thinking in Andy) they invited Eddie a crazy surfer from San diego, they started Pearl Jam later, good vibe men, grunge is dead ¡¡¡

  • @JiffJaffa

Amen. I'm 36 now and heard this at 17. It always brings back memories.

  • 1991-1998 Best Time In Music History

  • Is it normal for a 14 year old girl to still be enjoying this? I have liked them since I was 11. <3

  • @xpaperchains Its not normal, itsextremely awsome

  • @wwa4tna woooooooooooop

  • This song cures cancer!

  • i was 13 in 1990 and in agony from the utter commercial BS from the eighties and the decline of punk , then the seattle sound hit the world . i am still getting goosebumps every time i hear this song but don't idolize the nineties , it was also the time of vanilla ice,2 unlimited and ace of base . aarghh thank the gods for grunge

  • pearl jam+soundgarden= temple of the dog?

thought it was pearl jam+ soundgarden= best thing ever happened to music

  • why would you look up this song to dislike it

  • from mother love bone ...2 temple....what a riiiiiiiide \m/

  • @ozzfann then to pearl jam. really long ride, but it sure was fun

  • This is the true meaning of a perfect circle.

  • how sick would it be if stp AIC pearl jam and soundgarden toured together

  • @ledzep99113 it would have the same impact of the big four of thrash touring together ;)

  • @ledzep99113 run for president

  • @michael822212 that will be my first executive order

  • THIS SONG JUST ........ ROCKD WHAT MORE CAN U SAY

  • Mike mccready, AWSOME!

  • <3

  • Cornell/Vedder all day

  • Great generation of music!!! Man I miss the 90's. Grunge is the best...pearl jam, stp (my first tapes), nirvana, A.I.C, soundgarden, mad season, etc. It would suck to be a teenager today, listening to Jarod Beiber.

  • Saw these guys in a Club without knowing who they were....MIND BLOWING

  • Twenty years ago... I remember.

  • and Stone Temple Pilots....

  • I love Soundgarden and Pearl Jam!!! Wish Temple Of The Dog would come together again!

  • This is such a beautiful video

  • That sure is a sweet mustache.

  • great song

  • I've always loved this song. I've actually met Stone Gossard a few times, years ago--great guy.

  • eddie looks like tom cruise (with large hair).. i dont know why xDD

  • i have a hot flash

  • I was just 8 years old when I hear them at first time.... I was born in 1984 fuck man all the good stuff that I have missed... I got this feeling too...

  • just.....amazing

  • The Dream Team!

  • well i was born in 1990, and since the first time i heard pearl jam or any grunge i couldnt stop listening to it such good music. The only thing i feel bad is that i wasnt old enough to enjoy it when it was brought to the world...now everywhere i look people are listening to all this crap music from today. Im from brazil and its so fucking hard to find someone that can realy apreciate good music like this. I hope my sons hear this and be as amazed as i was when i first heard it.

  • @Staubzs i was born in 94 and i know what you mean man i hate this feeling of having missed out on such a great musical generation... all this pop and rap crap they play on the radio nowadays is nothing compared to this man

  • @ShadowsOnTheSun1 I know how you feel. I was born in 1980, and I love The Cure.. I was too young then to be into it, so I feel left out, sort of! :)

  • @ShadowsOnTheSun1 alleuyah ¡¡¡ keep on rocking in a free world, search for that cover, pearl jam, and neil young mtv awards, i think it was 94

  • @Staubzs me to , 1990's to... listening since ive been born , but im from portugal :)

  • @Staubzs agree, never the world hear music like these, like te 90´s grunge

  • @Staubzs hey mate I´m from Brasil too and i know what you are talking about. Here is just the fuking shit funk and axé..may one day it may end and good song will resurge again...I hope.

  • @Staubzs It makes me happy to hear you say that! I was born inn 77 and grunge/ Alternative was born during my hay day! It's still my favorite genre. There hasn't been a movement of really good music since. I still listen to P.J, A.I.C, C.O.C, Soundgarden & all that stuff. Ive seen Pearl Jam live a few times and Soungarden once...Amazing live acts! If you haven't already, you should add Bob Dylan, Neil Young, John Lennon and other good old music to your collection. Keep jammin!

  • @Staubzs Same here, though I was born in 1992 and am from California, but it's amazing how people can have the same story when they think they're all alone.

  • @Staubzs The 90's were an amazing time to be alive & to realize it. Even though you weren't there in body; by reading your comment, you were there in spirit brother.

  • @Staubzs I was Born 6 yrs after u I know Right I feel the exact same way. Todays music is talentless machines make music now and autotune voices Its sad How people just throw music together into a big pile of crap, Instead of taking time to learn to sing, instruments etc. dont worry hopefully someday people will realize that realying on technology is redicoulous( Hopefully_. ) I surely wont be playing songs from now in front of my future children!

  • Thumbs up if you'd like to hear another Temple of the Dog album 20 years on from the last.

  • I haven't heard this is so long. I love Eddie's and Chris's vocal blend... Chris Cornell; most distinct vocals in rock.. he kicks ass. I Love Them!

  • The words can't explain how much this song represents for me. I used to hear when I was a teenager with all of good friends. How I miss it :-(

  • Nice place to shoot a video but when you live there in a tent for a year and the only ones to show up with something is the s.p.d.to tell you,you have to leave.so we went to the sound garden.where they don.t exploit pepole and their homes, nature is ours and if you>r going to sing about somrthing you belive in.well bring something to the table or the camp

  • Ô TEMPO BOM QUE NÃO VOLTA MAIS!!

HOJE O GRUNGE VIRA EMO SÓ PRA PEGAR MULHER E DEIXA DE OUVIR UM SOM DE QUALIDADE PRA OUVIR FRESNO.

    ISSO É SOM DE MACHO!!

VIVA O MOVIMENTO GRUNGE DE SEATTLE E EM TODO O MUNDO!

  • these guys are so badass they need no amps to play on the beach

  • @1919shay haha xD

  • Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Mother Love Bone, Soundgarden, Temple Of The Dog, Mad Season,Nirvana, Screaming Trees, Malfunkshun, Mudhoney

  • Pearl Jam Nirvana , alice in chains , soundgarden , audioslave, temple of the dog, stone temple pilots. xD. !!!

  • What an amazing band. More people should listen to them.

  • @Cooliepops dude im pretty sure if cornell heard you say that he would have to disagree

  • @Cooliepops Eddie Vedder is a great singer. You, you're just somebody with an opinion worth as much as we paid for it.

  • @Cooliepops. thats like saying "Heat is a great movie until Pacino sticks his yap in, what a shitty actor he is. Just watch the difference between him and DeNiro.

  • @SparksDrinker

Ok, have you ever seen scarface?Or any other film Pacino is in?Paticularly ones with DeNiro?

  • @tombawomba . yes i have, what is your point?

  • @SparksDrinker Heat was a good movie until Al stuck his yap in, all he does is yell and he thinks that's a good performance.

  • @SparksDrinker saying Pacino is a shitty actor makes you just about the biggest idiot in the world ..the fact that you dislike him doesn't mean anything to the millions around the world, who have been/and will never stop to be inspired by him.C'mon even an idiot like you should admit he was robbed by the Academy 3 or 4 times?

  • @nuizbi . you are confused. i was replying to a person who typed "great song until that talentless eddie vedder sticks his yap in. what a shitty singer he is. just listen to the difference between him and cornell." get it?

  • @SparksDrinker yeah :( i thought i deleted that i gues i didn't

  • @SparksDrinker yeah. even Cornell will tell u Vedder sings better than him. thats why he brought in into Temple of the Dog.

  • @Cooliepops funny how people that dont know shit about the videos they visit like to talk trash.

  • @mrfacephone What are you talking about? What does the video have to do with the way he sings? I just have never been a Pearl jam fan and I don't know how anyone can say he's a good singer...he sucks IMO.

  • @Cooliepops Simple He has a fantastic Baritone at this stage of career, and he sings with soul. Its still good, but from 1990-1994 he was at his peak.

  • @Cooliepops actually dumbarse, Vedder is a really talented singer. And don't talk shit because your arse probably can't sing for shit. Listen to Even Flow or Blood or Black. The power and emotion in his voice is incomparable. Cornell is amazing too, but you can't compare them because they have completely different styles of singing. Just stfu and stop talking shit about something you don't know about.

  • @chubacaman1 lol says the 21 yr old. What don't I know about? An opinion? i don't like EV, so now because you disagree with my opinion I should stfu because I don't know what I'm talking about? Please jr, I've been playing music for over 25 yrs. This doesn't make me an expert but it does give me a chance to voice an opinion (like you have) So you disagree with what I like...I don't give a shit. Sorry I don't like your bf...get over it.

  • @Cooliepops don't like my bf where the fuck did that com from? And just because you've been playing music for 25 years doesn't mean anything. And is jr the best thing you can call me? And just because your older doesn't mean your anything. And I play music too. And yea I do disagree with what you say. But like i said listen to some of Vedders other stuff with Pearl Jam. Oceans, Black, Once, Spin the black circle, Daughter, Even Flow, Porch, Release. Hope you realize Eddie's talent :/

  • @Cooliepops

From this comment we can all see that you are 12. Shut up and enjoy the music.

  • @Tale077 Lol so once again I'm stupid and 12 because I'm not an Vedder fan? Please try and not to be so offended when somebody disagrees with what you think is great. One's musical tastes will never be something you can win an argument about. Have a nice day.

  • @Cooliepops

No, since you state that you are 25 with a simple internet age formula we can deduce that you are twelve. Cause nobody gives a fuck how old are you unless you are a teen. Have a nice day. :D <3 :*

  • @Tale077 Umm are you really this dumb? Where do I say I'm 25? Learn to read jefe. I'm done replying to you.

  • @Cooliepops

Sorry, it will never happen again. Didn't know you're an American trying to be mexican. I will never try to dispute your opinion in front of others and make you look bad. Sorry once more. Have a rainbowish day.

  • Chris Cornell best front man ever!!!

  • Temple of the Dog is an awesome band!

  • I cant think of a more awesome combination, eddie Vedders Deep voice with Chris' high vocals

  • This song takes me right back to being 16. I was so in love with this back then. I still am.

  • GREAT song. Eddie Vedder & Chris Cornell both have such powerful voices. They sound amazing. I do think that Eddie Vedders voice has more clarity and richness to it.. Just my humble opinion. Outstanding song!!!

  • HEROES!!!!

  • Wonderful !

  • Eddie Vedder + Chis Cirnell = FLAWLESS MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @IgnaciusMaximus I think u mean Cornell.

  • @guitarman829 XD a big mistake... srry!!! of course... Eddie Vedder+ Chris Cornell= Flawless music!

  • not really this song was unfoturnatly the last colabaration of Temple of the Dog due to disputes over lead vocals (chris Cornell, Eddy Vetter) go figure right lol the band seperated and formed 3 other bands Pearl Jam, SoundGarden, Mother Love Bone all great bands but loved them together more.

  • @tazdev2526 mother love bone was before this, but your basically right.

  • @tazdev2526 Pearl Jam, SoundGarden, Mother Love Bone all existed before Temple of the Dog. ToD was a side project by the members of these three bands.

  • @islandmonkey007 Actually, after mother love bone fell apart Cornell made temple of the dog, then after that pearl jam was made. No idea about soundgarden tho.

  • @cMfmNc You are correct about Temple Of the Dog being formed before Pearl Jam. It seems Pearl Jam was formed just weeks after Temple created their recording. Temple was created by Cornell during 1990 as a tribute to the lead singer of Mother Love Bone who died of a heroine overdose. Cornell was his roomate. Soungarden existed many years before TOTD and, obviously, so did MLB. For good info and timelines, look up Temple Of The Dog on Wikipedia. Cheers.

  • @islandmonkey007 Yea I don't know what was I thinking about not knowing if SG came before TOTD. Obviously couple of years before it. I'm not really much of a wikipedia believer, many people mess with the entries.

  • basically this amazing song is the Pearl Jam with Chris Cornell! :D

  • remember when MTV played music videos? and that was all they played? all day long and every day? those were the days. Then they invented trl and reality television and the rest is history. I think you can catch a half hour block of lame music videos one monday a month sometime between 3am and 5am.

  • @avick84

yeah, Music TeleVision has turned into Money TeleVision

too bad i do not remember that time when they played music videos, i was born too late for that :-/

  • Love this song.. History was made....

Greenriver/Malfunkshun = Mudhoney and Mother Love Bone

Mother Love Bone = Temple of the dog

Temple of the dog=Soundgarden and Pearl Jam

Names that should be mentioned are Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard. They were in Greenriver=Mother Love Bone= Temple of the Dog=Pearl Jam.

SoundGarden may of been,As Chris Cornell had aready started the band, But Pearl Jam would not formed as Eddie meet Stone and Jeff and Matt Cameron throught Temple of the dog.

  • Who do you think writes music for eddie vedder? That's right, it's Chuck Norris Bitches!

  • I believe that Chuck Norris is scared of Chris Cornell too xD

  • mother love love bone

  • I always thought the lyrics were, "I'm going hungry," not, "I'm /growing/ hungry."

    Huh.

  • WOW! THis is simply incredible. This song made me feel like 17 all over again (those were good times, with good music everywhere)

  • this is the liberal anthem.

  • soundgarden + pearl jam = win

  • If there's one band out there that could save the entire music industry it's this legendary collaboration. If TOD ever released a second album i'd buy 9 copies just to support them.

  • @RoksBadly It would be awesome but at the same time what would be the point? The whole reason for this (great) album was as a tribute to Andrew Wood. Doing another would kinda spoil that idea. And I love this whole cd.

  • im taking a shittttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

  • this song is a tibute to Andrew Wood and later Layne Staley abd Kurt Cobain. They gave us their all. May god bless them eternally for the beauty they created. It is not how long you live, but how much you live.

  • the start of greatness

  • This would make an excellent ringback tone...

  • 90's = Good times

  • tropa roba ! grandi muli !

  • Beautiful. Chris Cornell should get with Pearl Jam again and make another album.

  • peal jam and soundgarden cool

  • Gives me chills!

  • 14 when this came out good song love it.

  • i love this song too much!!

  • The first time I ever heard this song I was 6 years old. Up til then, I had listened to whatever my parents did, but this changed all that. Even then, I knew this was something big, and that this was the music I wanted to listen to and play. Awesome, life-changing song!

  • At 6 years of age... That's something. I'm 14 and well, had to discover music by own, still alot is unheard

  • @singaporesling1017 fuk u singapore, no one cares about you pretending to be some music prodigy. i saw you when u were 6, you were walking around with your finger in your nose and poop in your pants. (p.s. great fukin song)

  • Hahahaha! You're an asshole, I like you! I'm no prodigy, I just love music. And I haven't pooped my pants since I was 3 or 4, by the by.

  • @SparksDrinker oh damn, your post made me nearly crap my pants! PMSL

  • Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains. :)

  • And Stone Temple Pilots...

  • @Jesvin1990 90` is a best decade of music 4 me

  • @buces same here... love the grunge era

  • @Jesvin1990 And Stone Temple Pilots.

  • @Jesvin1990 Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam. :)

  • @Jesvin1990 sorry man. Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Nirvana.

  • man i didnt know vedder worked with cornell

  • @JoXmanson Hunger Strike was the only song

  • @JoXmanson well good morning to you too!

  • In my opinion this is the song that opened the 90s Alternative age. And a damn good one! =D

  • I didn't think any one here knew about Andrew Wood. Its good to know there's others who share a liking to good music.

  • some people consider this grunge but i do not know what to think.

  • consider it grunge if it makes you feel cool

  • it's not......

just because it was written by a grunge staple doesnt mean it is

  • This song was written very well!

  • Chris is the only true remnants of Andrew there are left....Love them both..

  • yum yum yum

  • Beautiful...

  • Amazing

  • fucking amazing tune

  • Cornell...ritorna sulla retta via....guarda quello che eri e che grandi cose hai fatto....non sputtanarti per qualche soldo in più....la musica fatta col cuore e col sudore...memoria di un passato non così lontano.....che bei ricordi...

  • Love this song *****
